Acropolis View Dream Hostel

It’s quite bad, the girl at the reception appears at 3 pm before that there’s no one in there, there are a lot of hair from other people in the clean sheets, the vibes are wired, feels insecure besides nothing happen to me but I left 4 hours after I arrived, I didn’t like it at all.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The receptionist was the most inattentive, rude and disrespectful person i have ever met. Upon arrival she tried charging me €30, even though i had already paid on hostelworld. She informed me she would “come up and find my later after speaking with her boss”. The room had sand and hair throughout the beds and floor, with lockers that don’t fit medium to large suitcases like advertised. O hostel anuncia que funciona até as 22h e mesmo chegando antes do horário não havia ninguém. Havia opção de self-checkin mas não funcionava. Fiquei na rua que não aparentava ser nada segura e tive que buscar outro lugar para ficar. Decepcionante os

Unsafe. The staff really impolite, rude and ill-mannered. I'm really sorry that I didn't get the woman's name etc. She almost shove me out the door, because of 'late check in', even though I had called them at least 5 times in the early afternoon to inform them about my arrival time and they didn't answer ONCE. And her excuse? 'There were no phone calls'! And her last words? 'Be prepared better next time'!!!! No! You have to answer the phone The worst hostel I have dealt with so far!

Acropolis View Dream Hostel turned out to be a really pleasant surprise and a great base for exploring Athens. The rooms were simple but clean, the shared kitchen and common areas made it easy to chat with other travelers, and the rooftop terrace with the Acropolis in the distance was the highlight of every evening. The neighbourhood felt busy and a bit rough at first, but after a day I appreciated how convenient it was for cheap food and transport, and I ended up really enjoying the atmosphere ...

I really enjoyed my stay at Acropolis View Dream Hostel. The rooftop terrace with Acropolis views was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location near Larissis railway and metro made it easy to get around Athens, although the surrounding streets can feel a bit rough at night.

Staying for less than a proper meal I call it a bargain. Interesting people from all around the world, short and mid term, but be open minded, not the classic tourist only hostel.

Ok beds, kitchen not the cleanest but ok , polite staff and nice view from the roof to Acropolis.

This is bad hostel! There is bed bug in the room and I was bitted multiple times during stay. Also toilet and kitchen and all communal areas are very dirty and facilities are broken. It’s a bad experience with ithus hostel and believe me don’t try.

had a nice stay, was in a bit of an off season so not a single young person around for me to get along with. rooms are nice, a bit squashed but cozy, the bathrooms and showers are alright, some things are broken. the entry to the hostel is a bit crap, it has an option to be a self entry kinda thing but since i arrived in the evening the whole system fell a part a bit. good view of acropolis in the distance and a cool rooftop terrace.

Really unsafe. We could not access our rooms at midnight and had no where to go. Nobody was reachable. The neighborhood was unsafe.

Best hostel in Athens .. near everything shops , restaurants, very friendly staff and very cheap

As fotos são uma coisa e o local outro coisa, banheiro estava sempre sujo, e a cozinha zero higiene. Totalmente fora do que é apresentado nas fotos.

C'est parfait. Hostel situé à 500 M de la gare ferroviaire et pas loin d'une super boulangerie pâtisserie Xoriatico (sur l'avenue allant à la gare).

this is a refugee camp... people fighting in the middle of the night. people smoking in the room. people snorting cocaine in the room. please, find another one

In order to still enjoy our vacation we had to instantly change hostels and cancel our remaining days booked in this one. Everything was horrible from conditions to staff. I will be writing an official complaint asking for a full reimbursement with pictures attached and more detailed information. But the pictures presented on the website were nothing at all like the reality. Everything was dirty, looked in very bad conditions and the staff did nothing to make it better.

Don't do it ! You found a cheap hostel, you're looking at the reviews and they're really not great, but you're thinking "how bad can it be, I'll save some money". Don't do it. A) Price is not including taxes, it doubles with taxes, or worse if you don't want to pay cash. B) It is the shadiest hostel i have ever seen. The manager is not helpful. There is no towel, no toilet paper, no locks, etc. You will have to rely on the solidarity of roommates (often immigrant workers).

If you’re a solo female traveler I would not recommend going here. I saw people doing meth and breaking things a block away from this building. All of the long term residents were a bit sketchy and I saw pills scattered around my room. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the residents was using. Also, when you book it says it cost 7 euro a night but when you get there they charge you 15. Lastly there were bugs crawling on our pillows. Don’t stay here. For your sanity.

A mix of short, mid, longterm guests. Easily meet people that know the neiborhood. Safe enough , cleaning ok plus good offers for long stays.

Loved the community staying here. A few people were staying here for quite a while. The owners were super lovely and would offer us dinner they would make and also allowed us to extend our stay the day of with no worries. Location was close to the city but dirty on the street. The staff kept up cleaning well
