Alice Guesthouse

Lugar lindo, amei esta hospedagem! Já quero voltar. Só faltou um trapiche do Hostel para acessar o lago e tomar banho. A ducha do lugar é maravilhosa, muito linda, cama ótima, quarto amplo.

Het is een mooie plek. Restaurant aan de prijs en geen keuken. De man van de eigenaresse was erg attent en van hem mochten we de koelkast gebruiken. Eigenaresse was niet attent, (gedag zeggen als het haar uitkwam) behulpzaam (shuttle boeken ging moeizaam) en sws nauwelijks aanwezig. Het leek alsof ze het heel vervelend vond om gestoord te worden als ze er dan wel was. Haar gedrag rijmt niet met de plek en de andere mensen die hier werken.

Des bungalows spacieux, confortables et joliment décorés dans un cadre paisible. Joli jardin. Restaurant agréable et bon. Nous avons passé 5 jours reposants. La bourgade tranquille d'El Remate est assez proche à pied . Nous garderons un bon souvenir de notre passage chez Alice. Une remarque cependant: pas de porte manteau pour accrocher ses affaires dans la douche...et mur mitoyen ds le bungalow pas du tout insonorisé.

Nous avons adoré notre moment passé chez Alice Guest House. Les hôtes sont adorables, tres accueillants et prevenants, on se sent directement a l'aise dans ce petit havre de paix. Point positif pour nous francophone de pouvoir échanger avec eux en Francais pour discuter des bons plans aux alentours ou des différents transports a prendre. Nous avions une petite chambre privée qui etait superbe, confortable et calme. Le restaurant est top aussi, tout y est délicieux. Nous recommandons g...

un endroit magnifique et géré avec beaucoup de professionalisme dans une ambiance chaleureuse. que de belles energies transmises par Dimitri et Nathalie ! grand merci et bravo !

Hostel éloigné du centre d’El Remate, il faut prévoir les snacks et l’argent. Il y a des transports proposés pour Tikal, Belize… Largement équipé de moustiquaires. Évidemment, beaucoup de bestioles jour et nuit, il faut pas être pereux, notamment près du lavabo. Restaurant extrêmement bon ! Le ponton était inaccessible car l’eau était trop haute… et il faut payer pour se baigner sur les autes pontons. Tout ferme vers 22h, c’est très calme.

Super séjour dans cette guesthouse très reposant et agréable ! Un terrain de pétanque quoi demander de plus ! Les plats sont très bons !

Fantastic place to enjoy. Verry kind worker here with good service, tasty food. i loved to watch the monkeys here. also the Dogs and cats. the owner and workers looks good to the animals. thanks for nice time here!!

Nice hostel. I liked the idea of just a roof and mosquito nets over the beds + a fan. Locker to lock your backpack. In the nights there were howler monkeys which was cool. But you shower and wash your hands with the lake water. After 2 days I couldn’t smell it anymore without feeling sick because it has a very strong smell. Besides that… good hostel. (A lot of frenchs)

Second time staying here. Nice hostel with nice places to relax. Comfy beds and lockers in dorm. Good location. Owner very responsive via WhatsApp and answers questions about areas/buses etc. Nice place to relax.

Beautiful and so relaxing little paradise. Everything was perfect. Clean dorm and very good food at the restaurant. On a backpacker budget could be an inconvenient not to have a kitchen but it’s definitely worth a few days! Loved my stay there.

Gorgeous place to stay, so lovely to be in such a peaceful place right in the jungle. Facilities are lovely and clean and food is great. Definitely agree with the other reviews in that it is very French dominated with not a very inclusive atmosphere, but luckily we came in a couple so it didn’t really matter, and the Guatemalan staff are all so lovely!

The place is wonderful. Mattress are awful; you can feel each individual spring under you. Palapa is a cool concept, but in practice the low beams and eaves make it treacherous to enter or leave in the dark. Total Alliance Française vibes while I was there, such that non French/French speakers are not made to feel that welcome. The cooking and cleaning staff were wonderful. The owners, friendly enough, though it felt quite transactional. Won't return nor recommend to others, sadly.

Gros coup de coeur pour cet hôtel légèrement excentré du village d'El Remate (qui est tout près a pied), ce qui lui confère une atmosphère extrêmement paisible entre jungle et lac, avec un ponton privé. Les hôtes sont adorables et feront tout pour vous faire passer le meilleur séjour possible

Séjour idéal, rien à redire. Le lieu est incroyable, en immersion dans la jungle. Les espaces communs sont très agréables. Le personnel est disponible et très gentil. La douche est chaude. Nous recommandons !

Place is great to stay in El Remate, is very well located on a hill where you can be in touch with nature. I would definetly stay here again.

Parfait hostel pour se relaxer, il permet également d’accéder à plusieurs site comme celui de Tikal. Le cadre est magnifique, le personnel est à l’écoute de vos besoins.

Best hostel I have stayed in. So glad I chose to stay here to visit Tikal and not in Flores. Clean and beautiful property, relaxed hosts, great location, restaurant had great food and the staff were lovely. Sleeping under a thatched roof was also cool, waking up hearing the howler monkeys was a memorable experience!Also HOT showers... wow. Thank you Natalie and staff 😊

One of the best stays of our trip, wish that I could have stayed longer. Really nice jungle stay on the outskirts of el Remate, hosted by a friendly couple. Comfortable bed, nice food and surprisingly good connection to tours and other destinations (if you ask them, don’t expect a perfect connection).
