Best hostel around. perfect loaction, right by the beach. Ebba, kailey & the rest of the team are so friendly & welcoming, loads of events organised daily. perfect place to socialise & make new friends 🧡
We had such a great stay at this hostel in Hiriketiya! The location couldn’t have been better, just a super short walk to the beach, which made it easy to go back and forth throughout the day. A special shoutout to the amazing social hosts Ebba, Kailey and Aina, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really created a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our absolute highlight was the movie night at Maha, it was such a cozy and memorable experience and a perfect way to meet other travelers...
The place is brand new, so everything is new and nice. Location is amazing, so close to the beach and restaurants. Social hosts are the best and planned the best night activities :)
Super Nice and clean hostel, staff is very sweet and they have the cutest fairy lights
stayed here 1 night and extended it out another couple of nights. shout out to ebba, she was amazing with her organisation. place is still very new, the common area could be better i reckon if you put a big seating area for people to play cards, similar to upstairs. Also chuck on a breakfest option like other barefoots. but still very new place, im sure its in their plan ! location is perfect for surfer's and beach lovers !

Such a lovely social hostel right by the beach!! It’s brand new so super clean and bright rooms. Shout out to Ebba and the other social hosts who really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and put on activities every night!! Really recommend it here :)
The hostel is more suitable for short term stay but wouldn’t recommend for long term/co living as there is no communal kitchen or fridge. I wouldn’t recommend it for co working as the WiFi is very unstable. I know that the hostel is still new but there wasn’t much seating in the common areas. Additionally the bathroom was very outdated. I will say that the volunteers are so friendly and great but the hostel staff weren’t very accommodating as they were very strict which was a major drawb...
Great social hostel and super close to the beach! Ebba from Sweden was great, almost as good as ABBA from Sweden, but nobody is that great and we can’t fault her for that x
Great experience with a very social atmosphere and daily events filled with people. Everyone was super friendly, and each event was really well organized and enjoyable. Special shoutout to Ebba—she was very friendly and managed all the events really well. The common area was also great. Cons: No toiletries were provided. Would love to come back again ❤️
Really well organised, especially considering it’s only just opened — everything runs smoothly and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. Really liked my stay! I wanted to give more of a realistic review, since I personally don’t go to hostels with 10/10 reviews, since I think it’s fake- but I really understand, why people give 10/10. Staff was really lovely, directly at the beach, beds super comfy and new, also they organise group activities every day so it’s easy to meet others. Just keep in mind, the hostel is veeeeery social, if you’re looking more for a chill stay without socialising all the time you might go somewher...
Mir hat es wirklich sehr gut dort gefallen. Die Lage ist einfach wirklich top nur eine Minute und man ist direkt am schönem Strand. Es war nicht so viel los im Hostel als ich da war und da das mit zum Barefoot Backpacker Hostel gehört konnte man auch da die Aktivität nutzen wenn man möchte (z.B.Eisbaden) wenn man also eine größere crowd sucht ist das vielleicht die bessere Wahl. Als ich dort war war nebenan eine Party also es war nicht komplett still. Mich hat’s nicht gestört.

Such wonderful people and a fantastic vibe! Loved my stay here! Steps away from the beach so it’s ideal for a sunrise surf and very community oriented so it’s perfect for solo travellers!
Had such a great experience at Strand, loved the layout and atmosphere, all the social activities on offer, the dorms were super clean and comfortable, and the location is the best on offer! Wish I could have stayed longer.

I LOVED my stay at Strand! It is a newly opened hostel so it’s clean, comfortable, amazing beds and more. The staff that works there is sooo friendly! They will help you with everything they can. The social hosts made it so much fun even if it was for partying, having dinner or just a good conversation! Shout out to Kailey, Mei and Livia!! These girls made my trip. Would highly recommend this place, it’s a few minutes walk from the beach and nice restaurants. Has an atm on walking distance!
