what unbelievable underrated hostel!

This place was absolutely serene, tucked in the middle of a flower farm surrounded by the mossy forest, the owner took his time to give us ideas of things to do, including a truly amazing hike that ended up being the highlight of our visit to the Cameron highlands. We hitch-hiked to the hostel from the outskirts of Ipoh which was honestly really easy and well worth a try even if you've never hitched before. The property was clean and had a lovely communal area with hammocks. highly recommend!

Unexpectedly sick! We panicked a bit when locals told us that it was in the middle of nowhere and super far from everything + famous attraction. Once there tho we had the best time! Did a local hiking trail which was sick. Keep in mind that you will have to hitchhike as no taxi will pick you up. We did board game nights, the owner was very friendly and fun! Honestly such a gem. I do advise not coming solo tho, because there is literally no one else.

Beautiful hostel, the cleanest place I’ve stayed whilst traveling with excellent facilities. The only downside is that it is a bit out of the way. We seemed to be the only ones staying there due to its remoteness. There are shops a 5 min walk away and the hostel is so peaceful so if that’s what you looking for it’s perfect. We did however find it hard to get transport at times. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and lovely.

By far the best hostel I’ve ever been.

My stay at Westwood Highland was excellent. My room was simple but comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the common area was cosy, with a free breakfast provided every day. The hostel is a bit remote but there is food nearby and the owner was very helpful in helping me book a tour and even drove me with his bike to an area where I could hitchhike to the bus station. People who live in the highlands are aware that it's difficult to get around and so they are very good with hitchhiking.

Troji is a very kind host with a super chill vibe. He took a lot of time to give us tipps and reccomend hikes around the area. The hostel is very clean and beautifully surrounded by a flower farm. Thank you for everything!

Great place to unwind with good atmosphere and nice people all around! Would definitely recommend. Only thing is it's a bit outside of all main attractions.

This place is like paradise! Located next to a flower farm, Troji welcomes you with his two cuddly cats! I arrived from Penang/ Georgetown and told the bus driver to drop me off earlier, because Westwood Highlands is not in Tanah Rata. Sehr toll Unterkunft, liegt sehr idyllisch in den Cameron Highlands, etwas abseits vom Geschehen. Sehr zuvor kommender Besitzer, der Hilfsbereit ist und sich gut in der Gegend auskennt.

Schönes Hostel auf einer Blumen Plantage. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber :) Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Für Leute, die kein Problem damit haben, dass die Unterkunft etwas weiter weg vom Zentrum ist, eine super Unterkunft. Dadurch das Hitchhiking hier aber super einfach ist, ist es auch kein Problem von dort aus überall hinzukommen. Es war gemütlich eingerichtet und ich habe mich super wohl gefühlt. Amazing hostel in the middle of the Cameron Highlands. A little hard to reach tho but hitchhiking is very easy and pretty safe there. The host knows his area pretty well and was very kind and helpful all the time. Definitely can recommend that place to everyone who wants a pretty and quiet place in the middle of nature.

We had a lovely stay here! Rooms are clean/ comfy. Cosy chill out areas, Simba + Gristo (🐱) keep you company, plus free breakfast. Located on a beautiful flower farm, walk through it to get over to the town for food and 7/11. Scooter hire available also. Troji, Facu and Theresa are incredibly friendly, showed us the best spots to visit, dietary requirements, made us feel so comfortable and we had so many laughs. I had an amazing stay at Westwood Highland. The staff, Troji and Facu, were fellow backpackers and gave great recommendations on things to do and things to avoid in Cameron. The common areas and rooms were spotless and the free breakfast was a nice addition. The location in a quiet flower farm was extremely serene and peaceful; a good way to get out of the touristy/busy main city in Cameron.
