De native guest house is an experience. It's really beautiful and in the middle of the jungle. Krish, the owner will tell to you a lot of story about Cameron Highlands and about the guest house, and if you want he will play pool with you. The fire pit at night is magical. Ok maybe the structure needs some renovation but is still very beautiful. 4 dogs will wait for you at the Native, they are so cuuutee. It's a once in a time experience that you can't miss.
Such a nice and beautiful hidden gem in the mountains of Tanah Rata. The owner Kris is the sweetest and most heartwarming host. Every night he would light the bonfire and would play pool with us the entire evening. The hostel is a tiny bit dirty, but you won’t really notice it. The kitchen is fully equipped. The location is perfect!
Krish und die Atmosphäre Drumherum sind wirklich einzigartig. Perfekte Lage um einfach mal etwas Ruhe einkehren zu lassen.
Great hostel, very cozy. The host is the best one you will come across throughout entire Asia. Relax by the fireplace, play pool, there is much to do there and I’ll definitely be back!
I had an amazing stay with Krish, Jane and their cute dogs! Every night there was a bonfire, and one of the dogs accompanied us on a hike, guiding us. So much fun, definitely recommend!
A very beautiful place, and the owner is an understanding and cooperative person, and the residents here are friendly, and the price is reasonable, everything is very good, I advise everyone to stay here, you will feel as if you are in your home and among your family, this has been one of the best experiences I have had in my travels so far, I have met many friends, thank you very much to the people in charge of this place.
The landlord is proper sound and helpful, and the place is absolutely lovely and spotless. Everyone’s really friendly, and the dogs are dead cute. There’s also a brilliant kitchen for cooking. Honestly, everything about this place is top-notch; it's well worth a visit to make some unforgettable memories 10/10
The owner, Krish, is really really nice and lovely. He offered to give me a room upgrade since I was the only one there. He has 4 lovely dogs that will probably guide you through your hikes making you feel protected at any time. The accommodation is nice, with a bar, pool table and a bonfire pit. The only thing is that a bit inside the forest and there are no lights towards the last bit so walking home at night might feel a bit uneasy but Krish has offered to drive me around multiple times!
Ein besonderer Ort! Der Garten und das Gelände ist perfekt um runterzufahren und einfach zu verweilen. Der Gastgeber war super aufmerksam und hat uns abends ein Lagerfeuer gemacht.
Cool old British house on the hill of the jungles but still within walking distance of the town. Some might be creeped out by the dark night walk on the road to get to the town as there’s no lights at all but I thought it was very cool. Krish is very accommodating and even upgraded me to the private room for no extra charge as I was the only one there during the rainy low season. Most of the other reviews are just soft and expect too much for such a low price.
If you are looking for a unique experience this is the place to stay in Cameron! The couple who owns the property is very welcoming and helpful in assisting with getting around Cameron and recommending the best places. I’m very glad that I stayed outside of the city and would definitely stay here again if I returned.
The hostel seems to have all the right things to make for a good time, but I was unfortunately one of only two guests staying there, so it was a bit lonely and also somewhat spooky especially with sometimes loud noises at night. This is however of course not the hostels fault, just something to keep in mind when you’re traveling off-season. The owner, Krish was very nice and forthcoming and even upgraded me to my own room, since not enough people were staying there.
We had the best time in this hostel. Krish the host is the kindest person we met on our trip. The rooms are basic but the atmosphere is so good. Also Iglo, Barney, Jessey, Lady and Koby (the dogs) gave us a warm welcome every day and Iglo loves to go on a hike with you. We’ve had a great time. Would recommend to everyone.
Our stay at this hostel was absolutely wonderful! Krish and his wife Jane run the place with so much heart they’re always asking if there’s anything they can do for you, or if you need a ride somewhere. Their hospitality really makes you feel at home. there are three fridges available for guests, a full kitchen you can use anytime, hot showers even a pool table for some fun in the evenings. One of the highlights was definitely their five adorable dogs, Barney, Koby, Jesse, Lady and especi...
It’s definitely the best. The place gave me opportunity to meet new people and connect with nature.
The rooms are very basic. The host was super friendly and lighted a campfire every evening for a cozy and entertaining night with other guests. He offered to help us any time.
I think this property is very misleading on Hostelworld due to the lack of pictures of rooms. I would advise anyone looking to stay here to look at google reviews first so you can see pictures of the rooms. The ‘private en-suite’ room is actually just a room, the bathroom is across the hallway of a shared house and there were numerous occasions during our stay where the bathroom was occupied by someone else. The room was very dirty and poorly maintained, rust/mould and ripped blanket.
this feedback is hard. I have dual feelings about the stay, so here’s a pros and cons list pros first: beautiful old colonial building located on top of a hill, secluded from the rush of the city amazing staff (Hi Mina!) and very friendly owner lovely dogs now cons: it’s filthy. especially the beds. the beddings have not been washed for ages and the pillows were moldy. the walls were moldy too, and when it rained it streamed into our room. shame that the owners do not take better care :...
I would highly recommend this place! Kish couldn’t do enough for us. The place is beautiful out of the town but walking distance to most things. The rooms are clean and tidy, the building itself is amazing. With a fire pit to chilled out to at night with the dogs which they are all freindly. A pool table room is great also. I tell everyone I have met going to the Cameron highlands to book this place and they all say the same thing.
