Most run down place I have ever stayed at. Dirty and filthy. Bed sheets had more than 10 stains. The whole place is just run down. 10 bucks is way too much. There was only 1 other person there, i think. never saw anyone. Not surprised.
I really enjoyed my stay at Elements Hostel. The team will welcome you with big smiles and are happy to help with anything. I was upgraded to an en suite room when I arrived, and it is well located close to the metro station so is easy to reach from the airport or bus terminal.
Magesh is superb, very friendly and welcoming. Arun Kumar was also very helpful with a late night check in. When I went, I was the only traveler there, so can’t comment on the vibes but would definitely come by again
Had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to help. There isn’t much of a hostel atmosphere, but as a guesthouse it’s great. The rooms are nice and clean with all the facilities.
We landed in Chennai for our India Trip and found this cute hostel, where we stayed for a few nights. The room was basic, but had everything you might need (including A/C). The stuff was very nice and helpful and gave us some nice trips for our travel. The atmosphere was pretty quite and we didn’t meet any other guest (but that could be because we traveled off season).
We were sadly both really ill with fever and flu the whole time we stayed at Elements. The staff were so helpful and upgraded us so we could be ill in a private room instead of the dorm which we were thankful for. It was very quiet when we stayed there. The breakfast was ok but we didn't eat much due to being ill. We bought our own yogurt to eat but that sadly got taken from the fridge. Nowhere to cook your own meals. Very close to the Metro station and lots of restaurants close by.
I had a nice stay at Elements Hostel. The hostel staff are very kind. Magesh was very accommodating and helpful with recommendations. I felt welcome and at home. The hostel is very close to a train station which has a 30 min train to the airport.
We loved our stay at Elements. The room was so spacious and bathroom too + super clean. I was really poorly & the guy gave me clean sheets twice! Super close to a hospital aswell which was necessary lol! Thanks so much.
This is one of the only hostels in Chennai. Not the best location, didnt feel very safe around the area. The room is very basic and i was the only guest but you get for what you pay for as its one of the cheapest accommodations in Chennai.
Lovely stay for 3 nights at Elements, the staff were so lovely and hospitable, - providing a free upgrade, providing lovely lunch and assisting with sim card procurement. Rooms were decent and comfortable and the common areas provided comforting respite from the Chennai chaos, heat and rains. do recommend
I had a great experience staying here during my trip to Chennai. The rooms were clean, and the common areas were great for relaxing and hanging out with other travellers. Location is very good as it is near several stores and good restaurants. Neighborhood is also not too loud/crowed so it is easy to walk around and explore. Most importantly, it is only a few minute walk from a metro station which makes getting around Chennai very easy. Staff were also extremely helpful and went above and kind.
I enjoyed my stay here the staff were very friendly and helpful and they also invited us for lunch which was very nice of them
An example of what a hostel should be. The hospital and friendliness of the staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. They were willing to help in any issues e.g simcards and onward travels. Really loved my time there
Ne ressemble pas aux photos qui ont dues être prises il y a plusieurs années! Endroit sale, pas accueillant, austère. Cependant le manager et le personnel sont aidants et sympathiques.
Mahesh and his staff were very welcoming and kind, they gave us lots of good advice about travelling Chennai and our onward journey. We were upgraded to a private room instead of dormitory for no extra cost which we really appreciated. Also had delicious Idli for breakfast! Thank you for a great stay.
Staff were so lovely and helpful. Manoush couldn’t have done more to help us, such as giving directions, recommending food places and attractions, booking us a discounted tuktuk ride around the city which was great. When we had a problem with our AC he was very apologetic and quick to get someone to come and fix it then it worked perfectly. There are always staff around so the place feels secure. The rooms are functional but very basic so don’t expect luxury. They were fine for us! i recomme...
The metro is close which is a plus. There are lots of staff around. We were told there would be free breakfast but it seemed like they forgot 3/4 of the days. The rooms with the showers smell super musty and moldy because there isn’t proper draining. The lobby and rooms have lots of mosquitos
We had a great first night in India at Elements Hostel. They helped us get SIM cards and made sure we were well fed even though we arrived at 2pm and definitely missed breakfast! Great location, within 3 minutes walking distance to the metro. The room was a little musty, but as it’s an older building that’s to be expected.
