Loved my stay. Owners were friendly, full of advice and it was the ideal launching pad for the slow boat.

We had a really nice stay here when we were just passing through the border and needed a place to stay before the slowboat. The breakfast was really nice
Okay for one night stay. Although close to slow boat it’s further away from restaurants. Staff will sort you out with SIM card / and slow boat 20k Kip more than price at the pier if you need it. Cold shower unless I couldn’t figure out how to warm it up
The ideal stay for the night before catching the slow boat. The location is perfect, and there is a beautiful view of the river from the outside seating area. It was indeed only a five minute walk to the pier in the morning. The hostel is clean and the rooms are kept very cool. The staff is wonderful. They made us a delicious breakfast in the morning and arranged our slow boat tickets with great seat assignments. When I forgot a valuable item, they went above and beyond to return it. Amazing!
Perfect stay for getting the slowboat the next morning. They can book the slowboat for you for a good price. I forgot my adapter and the owner himself made sure I got it back!
Great hostel! The owner is very friendly & it is a very convenient stay from the Pier!! The breakfast was amazing too 😸😸
We arrived at 6:30 PM and were told there was an overbooking, so one of us had to stay in another place in a private room with very poor conditions. (2,6/5.. ⭐️reviews) The room was extremely noisy, no WiFi, and no power outlet near the bed. Even though I had booked since December, a later group was prioritized. It felt unfair and disappointing. My review is based on the alternative accommodation.
+ friendly & helpful staff, huge & comfy bed, free delicious vegetarian breakfast (fried rice, fried egg, banana, orange), 5mins to the pier, beautiful view over the Mekong, you can book the slow boat through the hostel, which isn’t much more than at the pier - no free drinking water, no shampoo
Good stopping point for a night before taking the slow boat. Basic facilities, hot showers, fried rice breakfast in the morning too which was great. Location is within walking distance to the pier. Dorm rooms don’t lock, but otherwise a good stay.
good place for one night before you get the slowboat. you get what you pay for, bed with a curtain. bathroom has toilet paper, no shampoo or body wash. breakfast is included, and indeed only a 5 minute walk to the slowboat! the staff were super friendly, you can get a simcard and slowboat ticket at the reception. there were able to call a tuktuk for a friend at 6:30 am to the busstation, if you take the bus instead (otherwise almost 2 hour walk)
Uns hats hier gut gefallen. Top Lage zum Abendessen in Huay Xai und zum Pier für die Slow Boat Touren nach Luang Prabang. Netter Staff! Saubere Zimmer. Badezimmer sind auch ok.
Établissement était cool bien placée . C était propre mais les toilette est douche très routs . Sinon petit déjeuner top . Niveau sécurité et bien mais il manquait des lockeurs
Das Hostel ist sehr nah am Pier und deshalb sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für die slow boat tour geeignet. Man kann dort das Ticket für das slow boat fast für den Preis kaufen, den man auch am Pier zahlen würde. Bei anderen Hostels musste man fast das doppelte bezahlen. Außerdem hat uns der Betreiber des Hostels usere laotische Sim Karte (die man auch dort kaufen kann) direkt eingerichtet. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sauber und für eine Nacht gut geeigne...
Das perfekte (eher rustikale) Hostel, wenn man einen super schnellen Weg zum Slow Boar Pier haben möchte, am Abend vorher einen tollen Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang und am Morgen noch ein leckeres Frühstück (Fried Rice / Fried Noodles plus Orange und Banane, alles frisch selbstgemacht und sehr lecker) mitnehmen möchte! Außerdem haben wir nach Lunch-Paketen gefragt und die gab es zu einem super fairen Preis dazu. Der Hostelbesitzer hat uns noch super Tips zur Slow Boat Tour gegeben!
Nice location, good breakfast, kind people. Matresses aren't very soft, but for one night not a real worry.
Good stop over before the slow boat. Wouldn’t stay longer than one or two nights. Rooms are basic as well as the facilities. No atmosphere as people don’t stay long. Overall, okay value for what you get.
They served a good breakfast. Check in was fine and they were very helpful. It’s really an overnight spot like all other hostels in town for people leaving for the slowboat. I’m happy with my choice. It really is only a 5 minutes walk to the pier.
Pretty good place to bunk for the night on the way to the slo boat! They helped me book my ticket and it was super convenient.
Fijn hostel in Huay Xai. Ongeveer 10 minuutjes lopen naar de Gibbon experience en recht naast de pier voor de Slowboat. Personeel was super behulpzaam, je kan hier een sim kopen of een ticket voor de slowboot, erg handig! Daarnaast is het ontbijt ‘s ochtends een lekkere lokale toevoeging
