Quiet hostel, not very social, but everything was clean and well maintained. The location is good and convenient for getting around.
Upon arrival, I was singled out and asked for my passport, which was photographed and sent to someone else to “approve” my booking — despite having already booked and paid online like every other guest. No one else in the lobby was asked for a passport; they simply showed their reservation and received access. The staff member examined all of my passport stamps, then told me my booking could not be accepted without giving a reason. After standing in the lobby for over an hour demanding an ...
Host was absolutely terrible. Zero atmosphere at this place. Does the job for an ok price but did not enjoy my stay here. Host threatened me with a 10k fine for supposedly breaking their front door system when I tried to get in without him telling me the lock number had been changed.
I rate this hostel highly because it's very clean, including the sheets, bathroom, and shower. The AC worked just fine. The security was tight. The WiFi worked well. What I didn't like about it: no laundry, no coffee, not even a stray vending machine. No view whatsoever from my room, which was probably one of the two most expensive. Sole staff member was helpful, too!
Room was nice, staff helpful but I never saw anyone else there.
Prima hostel alleen de douche is echt heel onhandig omdat zowel de wc als de wasbak zeiknat worden. Bedden waren daarentegen prima en je had veel ruimte. Vriendelijke man bij de receptie.
I felt really uncomfortable, not safe. Was a weird vibe.

De locatie was echt perfect en de bedden waren heerlijk. Het hostel had niet per se heel veel sfeer, maar misschien kwam dit ook omdat wij de enige waren die er waren. Verder kon de eigenaar niet goed Engels, waardoor communiceren soms lastig was.
This hostel is really JUST the basics. The location is great and all the required facilities are provided in a clean enough state, but it is not social at all. There is no common area and it was practically empty while I stayed there. If all you’re looking for is a bed to sleep, this hostel is good. If you want to socialise, look at “Penang” and not “George Town” for hostel locations. Front desk guy was also quite weird and not helpful.
Very clean and modern property in a good location. The rooms and beds are spacious, with curtains on the lower bunks. It was not very social, at least when I was there. Only complaint is that some of the bathrooms were not always stocked with toilet paper and soap.
Great Hostel in a great location. Rooms are nice, beds comfortable and rooms nicely cooled. Felt comfortable in there and also leaving personal belongings due to key coded door!
The location was perfect, and I found everything I needed either there or nearby. The only downside is that if someone takes a shower before you and you need to use the toilet, the floor is wet — and since you have to leave your shoes at the entrance, there’s nothing to wear on your feet
if you are just staying there to sleep I guess it's fine but it's clearly not an hostel where you'll meet people
The hostel had a weird smell and the bathroom setup wasn’t great — everything got wet and there was no space to put your things. No real social vibe or common areas. Fine for a short stay to see George Town. Staff were kind and helpful.

bitte seid nett und bedankt euch beim einzigen mitarbeiter dort, er ist immer! da und alleine den ganzen tag, er ist richtig nett und ein hallo wie geht es dir kann echt ein weiten weg gehen.
