Toh Aka Inn

It had bedbugs. We found bedbugs in two of the four beds, we told the staff and they were helpful. Offered to refund us for our first night stay and moved us to love linn hostel which is under the same management for our other two nights. However, when we got there and asked for our refund they said they won’t give us our refund until we leave a good review and show them. Shocking! The management need to stop blackmailing people into leaving good reviews. I wouldn’t reccomend either hostel.

Heads up- there were bed bugs March 2026. If they address that issue than this would be a nice place to stay. The location is great and I found the staff very friendly and welcoming.

une amie et moi avons trouvé des puces de lit! L’hostel est propre en soit, bien placé et le personnel est attentif MAIS quand on a demandé un remboursement car nous n’avons pas pu y dormir à cause des puces, ils nous ont demandé de laisser un avis positif sur l’hôtel pour l’avoir… en soit lorsque ce problème sera réglé l’hôtel sera super par contre!

good common area, clean, there is toilet paper in the toilets, digicode to enter the hostel and the dorms, the dorm was a bit cold but since the beds are in a box you wont feel as cold in it. some people said it can be smelly, it wasnt when i got there. water dispenser is also there, the check in is a bit weird you have to contact the manager of the place and he was very understanding and waited me for a extra 10 minutes. can pay with card. but the prayer is a bit loud especially in the morning

Great hostel- feels more like a co living space with a shared living room and fridge and some cutlery etc to eat. Perfect location to explore GT.

Heerlijk verblij gehad. Ik zou het zeker aanraden. Geweldige locatie, schoon hostel, privacy door de kabine waarin je slaapt. Midden in de old town, op 5 min lopen van sommige van de bekendste street art van maleisië.

location is great, place is clean and beds comfy. room was bit smelly as there was only 1 aircon unit for the big room with 20 beds, but for that price i would 100% book it again

i have mixed feelings about this hostel. it is a nice place generally. there is one lady cleaning all day long but doesn't really speak english. for Check-In someone will drop by and you make the payment, thats it. there are little sanitary for the amount of people. if you only want to sleep there it is a good choice for anything else...

Super Hostel, würde immer wieder zurück kommen!! Die Betten waren total gemütlich und alles war super sauber :)

Room smelled strongly of sweat and feet. There was constant confusion with bed assignments – new guests were often given beds that were already occupied. I was told I could extend my stay but couldn’t pay immediately because the staff member had no change. The next morning, there was suddenly no bed available anymore, despite the confirmed extension. Overall, very disorganized. not social.

Alles super, etwas verwirrend mit dem Einchecken, aber sonst ist es sehr chillig. Seid vorbereitet, dass morgens um 6:30 Uhr ganz laut Gebetslieder dröhnen und man definitiv aufwacht!

It did the job as a decent place in a good area with a nice private bed. It was a real shame that the ac was set to 25 with no remotes anywhere in the property and the staff did not reply to communication so it was extremely hot at night.

I really liked my stay here at this hostel. The bed is super comfy. Separate toilet and shower. Nice common area. Everything is 10-15 min walk. Staff is super friendly and cleaner comes multiple times.

Located at center old town inside a historical building. Room is clean and ac is cold. There is a big living space where u can chill or do work. Not very social but still can manage to meet new friend there. Literally there is no staff hanging around there so pretty much everything is self serve. No convenience store around u need to walk for 10 mins to get one.

Clean. Best hostel i stayed in Malaysia!

Very clean and comfortable bed. It is not a social hostel. The only bad thing, is that there isn't any personal there, so for extending the nights it was quite difficult

It’s a clean and decent Hostel. Not super Social but the Location in the Old Town is amazing. Unfortunately the lockers are a bit small for bigger backpacks. All in all good and I would visit again

Die Unterkunft ist super schön und wenn man das Personal teifft sind sie auch super nett. Bei mir gab es leider Schwierigkeiten beim check in, da es keine Rezeption gibt sondern nur online über eine Mail. Ich würde das Hostel jemandem empfehlen der etwas ruhiges und gemütliches sucht

Comfy and clean and a nice area downstairs where I would calmly sit and suddenly get into conversations with people so I had a really nice stay
