Masayana Hostel

Beds are very uncomfortable, could feel the slats and dents in the mattress, even after switching. Bunk beds are not secured to the wall, so if someone climbs it, it will tilt. Dangerous! Airconditioning makes a lot of noise, definitely bring earplugs! Shower gets the toilet wet and it doesnt dry, handsoap was not available. I changed accomodation after two nights cause i couldnt sleep here, unfortunately no apology or compensation. Pros: Staff are polite and pool + location are nice.

Das Personal war super lieb und zuvorkommend! Das Hostel ist ca. 10 Minuten von der Stadt entfernt und liegt im eher ruhigeren Teil von El Nido mit schönene sauberen Pool. Es gab immer kostenloses Wasser. Leider war die Ausstattung in den Zimmern sehr dürftig. Es fehlten überall, vor allem im Bad, Haken/Regale. Nach Klopapier mussten wir fragen und das Bad wurde leider auch nicht täglich gereinigt.

Myself and 5 friends (3 couples) had a private room with an en-suite each. All with aircon and a fan. The shower pressure wasn’t great and at one point the water stopped but they fixed it quickly, same when our aircon machine stopped randomly - it was fixed within minutes. Really enjoyed spending time by the pool and the restaurant snacks were yum! It is a little out of town but we enjoyed the quiet, more local vibe of the area. We hebben een erg fijn verblijf gehad in Masayana. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en denkt in alles mee. Ook serveren ze heerlijk eten en is het hostel op een rustige locatie, maar wel op loopafstand van het drukke El Nido. Ook organiseert het hostel veel activiteiten en verhuren ze scooters!

I enjoyed this hostel during my two nights. Enough space with four people and security lockers. Room is clean and has nice AC, bed is nothing special. Bathroom is a bit small and can never get dry but not a major issue. Pool area is great as well as the restaurant. I enjoyed the location and being further away from the city. Less crowded and cheap quality food close by. Plenty near by and town square is a 15 min walk away.

Pros: was great having the option of a pool, 4 bed dorms were pretty spacious and good having an ensuite Cons: could feel the slats/wood on the top bunk bed a bit, have to pay extra for a towel, is a bit annoying coming back at night time once the tide has come in as you get wet

Nice and quiet hostel, away from the crazy main strip but close enough to walk. One thing to note - at high tide you will find yourself walking on the beach (sometimes in water). No tricycles or tuktuks will take you, we didn’t know this so ended up walking with our luggage (luckily just backpacks). Rooms are nice - they have curtains and good lockers for privacy. Overall good place

Wat het hostel vooraf niet verteld is dat het ‘s avonds erg moeilijk te bereiken is, i.v.m. vloed. De enige weg naar de wijk/het hostel is namelijk deels over het strand, wat door vloed iedere avond overstroomd tot je knieën. Wij kwamen hier pas achter toen we daar aankwamen, gezien hierover geen informatie vooraf is verstrekt. Heeft onze plannen wel heel erg beïnvloed. De mensen zijn wel erg aardig, maar de dorms zijn klein en niet schoon.

Eher in dem ruhigeren und wie ich fand, schöneren Teils El Nido gelegen. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, geräumige Schließfächer. Der Abguss im Bad stinkt leider sehr und es gibt keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten im Bad. Außerdem weder Handtücher noch Seife

Facilities were great breakfast was good. Bunkbeds were really unstable and uncomfortable, even tho I know it is a bunkbed. If someone underneath you turns over in his sleep you will feel this way too much. Friendly people there tho. Imo not worth the price

Lovely hostel! Room was huge with A/C! It felt very clean and there was a lovely outside area in front of each room with comfy seats. Location was further away from El Nido town but only a short tuktuk ride/ 15 minute walk or there are a few local restaurants in the Calaan area, we ate at Mia’s Bistro twice!! There was some confusion with the breakfast and if it was included on our room but it was quickly resolved and dealt with well.

Quiet hostel, perfect for a stopover, wouldn’t recommend for longer as no social scene

the hostel isn’t completely finished yet and the wifi wasn’t the best , but the beds were really comfortable. the staff was really helpful and friendly and they help you book transport or tours. the breakfast was amazing! it’s about a 15 minute walk to the main town but that didn’t bother us because the road is alongside the ocean so you have great views. we can really picture how beautiful it will look when the pool and the landscape are finished would absolutely recommend staying here...

Very clean room! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Love the are, perfect place to disconnect and relax at just few minutes away for the town. I very recommend Masayana!

Really great hostel, clean, well maintained and friendly staff. Private rooms are spacious. Location is a little far from downtown but make the hostel nice and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely hostel! We are a couple travelling the Philippines and this hostel was perfect for us. The staff are great, the rooms are basic but very comfortable and have efficient AC - bang on the money for the price point. The hostel is an easy 10 min stroll from the main town, but it’s around a coastal path and has stunning views. A little dark at night as the path is only lit at certain points but we still felt very safe with our phone torches on. Would definitely stay again!

Sehr schönes und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer, im Allgemeinen eine angenehme und ruhige Atmosphäre auf dem Gelände. Zusätzlich gab es eine kleine Veranda, auf die bei Bedarf Frühstück gebracht wurde. Durchgehend freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, die uns nach Absprache mit dem späten Check-In entgegenkommen sind und nett empfangen haben.

Genial mi experiéncia, después de 17 noches puedo decir q mi estancia no podia ser mejor! (Bonito lugar, genial ubicación, personal encantador, cantina con comida riquísima, súper limpio todo, te facilitan todo tipo d servicios "transporte, lavanderia para la ropa, excursiones...") a destacar q me ha encantado q ofrezcan agua fresquita en todo momento y he encontrado súper divertido q cada sábado hacen barbacoa y petanca! Me he sentido como en casa, o mejor! Repetiré seguro! GRACIAS POR...

Wir hatten einen privat room für 4 Nächte, die Zimmer sind sehr modern und sauber. Es liegt etwas abgelegen aber El Nido Town ist innerhalb 10 min zu Fuß zu erreichen. In den ersten beiden Nächten ist der Strom teilweise ausgefallen, sodass es kurzzeitig ziemlich warm im Zimmer wurde. Der Stromausfall wurde aber immer mindestens nach einer halben Stunde behoben, sie hatten Probleme mit dem Generator. Ansonsten ist es sehr schön angelegt und zu empfehlen.

Je le trouve chère pour ce que c’est, les toilettes et la douche sont dans la chambre et c’est vraiment pas le luxe, les lits sont avec des fourmis dedans, toujours en travaux.
