The staff were nice and helpful. The curtains on the beds did not cover, ao we had to use our towels. The toilets and showers were not so nice. The water in the showets smelled and there were no toilet seats. We also got ill from the filtered water available for toothbrushing and the water in the showers. Ok place to stay but do not expect much
great stay, lovely staff and free rum!
Good for a couple nights. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was able to walk to the bus station from here fairly easily. The facilities are alright but there isn’t a huge amount of space for luggage in the rooms. Sometimes was a bit noisy but nothing too bad. Bar upstairs where you can get free drinks and the social areas were pretty nice.
If they upgraded the bathrooms and kept it more clean I would give it 10/10. Some of the toilets did not have toilet seats and it smelt bad in the showers. They have potential if they fix those things
Underrated spot, clean enough, has laundry, ping pong, gym equipment, a good social area and free & unlimited rum & coke from 7-11pm every day.
This hostel is not nice at all… for £11 a night this was an absolute rip off… sandy and dirty rooms that smell incredibly musky and filthy toilets/ showers. Don’t stay here if you want an early nights sleep as they have loud thumping music that plays until 11pm. The only good part is the ping pong table. Far from town so the location isn’t the best
This is by far the worst hostel(out of 9) I stayed at in the Philippines. If you're an English only speaking solo traveler, this one ain't for you.I barely heard anyone speaking English, so connecting was difficult. The toilets were missing the seats and were filthy. The 8 bed dorm had 6 Spanish speaking blokes that would talk & giggle at 2am. They even switched off the aircon in the middle of the night. The receptionist came around to give them a warning. Only the staff was polite & respectful
No toilet paper, water didn’t work, smells like gas! But met cool people. Just like any places in El Nido, premium prices for below standard hostels!
Since not direct in town I used the Scooter rental next to it. Friendly family owned hostel. Close to the beach. Comfy beds, social wise a bit quiet.
Das Privatzimmer war leider dreckig und ungemütlich. Klimaanlage extrem laut.
Great people, lovely place, had a really good time in big Paul hostel
A fair choice if you are a single traveler looking for a budget place away from town. You are just along a highway strip about 25 minutes walk to town center. There are restaurants around and a beach very close. Bonus is the free rum coke or pomelo gin 7-11pm. It's typically not that social but they play music. Breakfast is a snack of one egg and two white bread toast and banana. Aircon works well in my 8 bed room. Bathrooms shared in hallway. Small safe in room for your passport. Free water.
A really great hostel with a welcoming vibe. It’s super easy to meet and connect with other travelers. The free breakfast and drinks are a great bonus, and the staff were always friendly and helpful
I can only recommend this hostel!!! It is very clean, the beds are very comfortable and amazing showers. The staff was very welcoming (they even served us a welcome’s drink) and made food for us even though the kitchen was closed. One of the best hostels ever!!
Not a fan of this hostel, the staff were nice but the whole place is dark and dingy and run down. It seemed sociable with groups of 18 year old boys, but not really for us, we switched to another hostel it was much nicer.
