Sheets weren’t very clean. Not the most social hostel.
Definitely worth the price! The bar has a beautiful view but I thought the prices were a little expensive. It’s also a little far from the main restaurant/shopping area so it’s better to rent a motorbike while you’re staying here. I’d definitely stay again!
Great staff and great room however it’s a 25 minute walk into main town
Very small room with no space for bags, bathroom was nice, on the beach front
Betten waren sauber, Personal freundlich.
Great place to stay. It was basic and clean as expected. Staff were friendly and helpful, we booked a tour through the hostel which was nice and easy. The bar served great food and drinks with a gorgeous view over the beach, especially at sunset. Music was playing until 3am from a neighbouring bar on Saturday night which did keep us from sleep, however the other nights we had no noise issues.
Very tucked away, good for one night stop over! quite far out of the town but comfortable beds and good A/C
They are selling the hostel like you have a cute lounge and access to the beach but in the end there is no beach and you have to spend a certain amount of money for the seats. To access the lounge outside visitor passes in front of your room. The hostel is located between Filipinos's houses. There is a security guard during the night but still a bit sketchy. There was no AC and we had a cocreach in our room. The walls are super thin and the windows don't close so you hear everything. Also rats.
I would only moderately recommend this hostel. The rooms are very small, the walls are extremely thin, and at night you can always hear someone loudly singing karaoke. Overall, it’s a very unsocial hostel with no common area. What bothered us the most was the receptionist’s behavior. He tried to overcharging for the transfer and was very unfriendly, even though he pretended to be overly friendly.
My girlfriend and I never write reviews, but we felt compelled to do so for this hostel. We don't even know where to start. The hostel is nothing like the hostel in the photos. Starting with the room: it was extremely small, with no storage space, very damp, so there was mould all over the room and you could actively smell it. The bathroom and room were never cleaned properly, either at the beginning or during our stay, so we even found items left behind by previous guests. There were mosquitoes
Sip sunset room was perfect, all you need. It was easy to get in and out of town. However, there was no real way to meet other travellers. It was one of the noisiest hostels I have ever stayed in, karaoke until early hours of the morning then music restarting at the hostel at around 6am. As the doors slid shut you could hear absolutely everything through them. Not a very enjoyable stay at all.
Got a delixe double private room, quite pricey and the room was very poorly furnished. Just 2 beds. No bed table, no shelf, no table, no chair. Sockets didn’t work and the room needed to be closed with a super small locker, same for the toilet… bit annoying.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds and dorms were comfortable, just slightly compact which we did not mind. The bathroom was shared between the dorms so there was limited numbers, but it never affected us with being able to use when needed. A good bonus would have been towels provided, but overall this was a lovely hostel to stay in and the beach bar alone was worth it. I would revisit this hostel!
The hostel is located before the beachfront sunset bar, so people walk past all the rooms to come & go from there. There is no common area so therefore no social atmosphere here at all.. The dorm itself was clean with strong air con and clean bed but no lockers to secure belongings. Upstairs it isn’t a floor but a metal grate that is painful to step on so keep shoes handy. The bathroom adjacent wasn’t cleaned during my 3 day stay, water pressure was so-so but the shower does get nice and hot...
The first night was really loud with music from next door going until 4am. The whole hotel is open plan and the rooms are not sound proofed at all so we couldn’t sleep. Also the room is quite small with no window but a flap to the main corridor so again very loud and bright as the lights are left on in the hallway. We had to wear ear plugs and an eye masks to try and sleep. The second night a large group sat outside were chatting loudly until 1am. Good concept, poorly executed.
