Mama Hostel

This hostel is extremely good value for money. The family who run it are so lovely and offer a wide range of services. The price reflects the standard. It’s a comfortable bed, with air con and a clean bathroom. Would stay again

This is a good place to stay in El Nido for the price! But very basic facilities - bring mosquito repellent.

Not great location but the family that run it are very nice

I appreciate this is a budget hostel so we didn’t have high expectations. However, most nights there wasn’t any running water, if there was it would come out of the taps brown to start. We had one day with no electricity which also means no air con so it was very hot. We weren’t informed that half way through our stay we were expected to move rooms. We were woken up at 9am being told to get out of our current room because it was booked - no reason?! The staff were friendly but disappointin...

staff were helpful- got a good deal booking the island hopping through the hostel. had a private room which was horrible the toilet didn’t flush and the smell in the bathroom was unbearable. the bed wasn’t the comfiest and the ac was not the best. had people banging on the door at 3am which was so scary- told the staff and they said they’d check cctv but never got back to us. it’s very basic and not actually in the main town but cute area

De locatie is goed als je over een scooter beschikt. Het personeel is prima, spreekt alleen niet goed engels en begrijpt je daarom niet. De sfeer moet je van houden. Het was totaal niet schoon, de geelde douches en wc waren echt vies… er lagen haren, afval etc. Erin. Ook stonken de wc’s naar urine en zaten er nog uitwerpselen in. Ook de bedden moet je niet te veel van verwachten. Wel is het mega goedkoop dus als je niet veel waarde hecht aan hygiëne en meer gaat voor prijs is het prima.

One of my favorite experiences in the Philippines with the amazing community at sun valley inn. The staff are amazingly welcoming and its a super social place. Beautiful walk to town and lots of good local food nearby

The Toilet was so dirty and there was mold at the walls. Didn’t feel comfortable at this Hostel. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Horrible. Aucune hygiène. Pas d’eau potable (seulement de l’eau chaude pour le café). Clients drogués/saouls des 10h du matin. Nous avons été réveillés par des vers qui tombaient du plafond. Pas de chasse d’eau. Quasiment pas d’eau dans la douche + complètement bouchée. Nous devions tirer la chasse avec l’eau de nos douches qui stagnait au sol. Même après signalement le personnel n’a rien fait pour ça.

Si tenéis un poquito de dignidad pagar unos euros más por que el sitio deja mucho que desear tiene Ratas en el techo y bichos por todos lados y una amiga nuestra tenía unas ronchas y fue al médico y eran pulgas de esos colchones y ya no hablemos de comer allí me pasé un mes por Filipinas y fue el peor con diferencia

Ambiente agradable, lugar agradable al margen, lejos del bullicio de la ciudad, pero no tan lejos del centro de El Nido. Personal muy agradable y servicial, y los precios del alojamiento son muy favorables.

really nice place to stay in El Nido it was good price they have tour if you take you get free breakfast and diner really good deal I meet so many nice people there the stuff is great

A little overpriced for what it is. El Nido experienced water issues so not totally their fault but room wasn't clean, had a cockroach and toilet / shower was a bit gross. Don't have high hopes but got through it fine

Paid to not stay here

Ich gebe mich echt schnell zu Frieden, aber das Hostel hat mir absolut nicht gefallen. 3 Tage ist das Wasser ausgefallen und Social ist das Hostel auch nicht.

I hate rating a place so low. But the beds barely had any foam. It was like lying on wood. Toilets didnt have a proper door. There was a 1piece of plywood shared between 2 toilets that you just put in front of entrance. Wifi worked ok in common area but nothing in rooms. Location is just outside of el nido proper. 15 minute walk. I wqs looking for a budget place. And they charge tax as extra on hostelworld. So it turned out to only be 100peso cheaper than nice hostels. I would not come back.
