This hostel definitely is in the works to have greay services and is putting in effort to be helpful. For the average backpacker, the distance away from the city means youve either got to have really good facilities there (e.g support to cook meals and help socialising) or more help with transport, buying food etc. A chill place to spend a few days tucked away from the bigger hostels!
I liked it here, but not a social vibe
Best place to stay in Cebu city if you don’t like crowds and the city. It’s actually quite awesome. Only bad part is getting there is a pain. Grabs will take you there but they won’t pick you up there.
Stayed here for 2 nights after visiting Bohol and siquijor. This was perfect for me as I didn’t plan on doing much in cebu. It’s right in the mountains so the views are crazy good! The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is also attentive. I recommend staying here if you want to get away from the busy city and be a bit secluded.
Didn't have much food options and can't cook at the hostel but the view was great. Amazing stay overall!
Best hostel I’ve stayed in with great facilities, views of mountains and helpful staff
Thank You HONEYCOMB Staffs. GREAT experience
The view from this place is Astonishing. It is far from the city, but there are cheap buses that go there from IT Park. The only drawbacks are that the bathrooms are not as well equipped as the rest of the place, and that there are few dining options in the neighborhood. There is a restaurant inside the building, but it is only moderately recommended in terms of quality and variety. Anyway, I would definitely come back: it has a pool and a gym that you can use for free.
The place is nice with a very relaxing view. The room is okay. I could give a 5 star but because there are molds in the bathroom so it is a big minus.
Was a great location and the pool side views were great! Was just super disappointed and confused as to why I wasn’t givin wifi and told there wasn’t a wifi when on the booking page it says free wifi.
This is not a true hostel. There were more families than regular travelers, with kids running around everywhere. The transportation situation was such a hot mess. No grabs or taxis want to take you up to where this place is. Took hours just to get something. The shuttle and bus they mention is not guaranteed at all so don’t count on that being your transportation. We were also scammed because we had to get to airport and there was absolutely no shuttle or transportation available. Terrible pla...
Very off, but perfect to cure a jet lag which is the only reason I choose this location. Clean and friendly staff! I stayed in one of the dorms, no lockers to fit a large bag. Wifi is awful, only works in the reception area, and as (at least I) did not have reception (Globe eSim) you had to stay there to be able to access internet. Be sure to be up early to get you breakfast in time, I had to wait over an hour to get my simple breakfast, I got there at 8:40, they open 8.
Nice venue with a beautiful pool, however really far from the city. Toilets and showers are really dirty. Lockers were too small. A lot of noice during the nights. No control over the AC, so the whole room was freezing cold to sleep with no blankets. Staff was really friendly.
Here’s a version under 500 Zeichen (ca. 480): ⸻ Chose this hostel due to good ratings, but it was disappointing. Mostly locals filming TikToks, no social vibe like in other SEA hostels. Staff is friendly and the view at TOPS is nice, but there’s nothing around. Grab costs ~€10 one-way. WiFi only in the common area and extremely slow, mobile data also terrible. If you’re visiting Cebu, stay in the city instead.
Loved my stay here, you have free access to the ground level at Tops (but 50 pesos for the highest floor). The hostel is nice, lots of privacy in the room. Pool at the restaurant with a nice mountain view. For onsite restaurant prices are ok and you can pay by card for the restaurant. Staff was amazing, always saying hello. Big lounge area as well and a gym, I could stay there with my laptop. Wifi wasn't working at the time, they said it was due to the typhoon. 5G worked (Smart Esim for me)
When showering all bathroom wet.
great place with great views
Hostel’s ambiance is very great, a place to relax and chill after a long day. I really like that the stay included unlimited entry to TOPS. Please improve on WiFi since it was slow during my stay; I needed faster connection for my work.
The place is cozy, cool and clean. The only dowside is the staff in the restobar is really not that attentive. Also, the front desk does not know about the bus and breakfast menu.
