Really nice hostel to spend the night if you have to catch a flight the next day. Everything was very clean, very good bed and really nice hot shower.
Best bed I’ve ever had. Place was absolutely silent, excellent to catch up on sleep between places. Bad location though
Super nice beds. Had a store and a restaurant in the building. Not in the city, but easy to book a grab
Loved the beds, my friends still talk about the food from the restaurant upstairs .
Loved this hostel! Only staying one night but could’ve stayed longer. The building / rooms were so clean, the pods were spacious and had your own light and little fan (that was quiet too!) Beds were comfy and bathrooms immaculate. Not much in the area for food however the hostel restaurant was good and cheap! Only negative was the area didn’t feel the safest at night! however 24-7 security Ideal location if you are travelling to Moalboal as only 5 min drive away from the South Bus Terminal
Property was very well kept and clean with comfortable beds. There weren’t may other people there during my stay and it’s quite far out of the city centre but was convenient enough and what I needed for 2 nights.
Generally a nice stay for a night. There isn’t much to do immediately on the doorstep and the area didn’t feel the safest walking around at night for a solo female traveller but if you want a quiet evening it’s got all you need. I booked my own room, Netflix and YouTube available, WiFi was good, the small bar upstairs was cosy. Staff were nice and handy to have a convenient store at the entrance of the hostel
I just want to share i stayed at the capsule room and someone kept an uncooked dried fish inside. I didn’t complain at the reception because I didn’t want to. I brought home danggit from cebu but I bought it after I checked out from moonstar. and by the way why fruit shakes in Cebu don’t have sago. Lol.
The location of the hostel is in an odd part of the city. My friend and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the hostel, especially in the dark. However, there’s a shop on the ground floor and a restaurant on the top floor so you’re covered. Pods are clean, spacious and WiFi works well! Not much of an atmosphere but an ideal stop over for a night especially if needing to get to the bus station or port.
The cleanest hostel in Cebu. Not just picture perfect but everything was nice and comfy. The tpilet, the sognages, the lights, the vents in the capaule, the shop at the groundfloor. Cant ask for more. Its in the down town area and in a local neighborhood and eveything is accessible. Highly recommendable!
Pros: - close to bus station - good wifi throughout the hostel - restaurant upstairs - location not as bad as expected from previous reviews (although I had just come from Manilla!) Cons: - there was no linen, so no bottom sheet (you were literally just sleeping on the mattress topper!) and no top sheet! I had to sleep with a jumper on me - only one shower worked - no vibe. Didn’t see anyone here, and no good communal spaces - locker room available for bags but it’s inconvenient ...
Only stayed for one night but loved the beds! Complete privacy in your space with air con directly in your capsule! Definitely recommend
We stayed here for a stop over from the airport before getting the bus and it was perfect for a night. We didn’t leave the hostel as the area seemed a bit rough but the restaurant at the hostel was perfect for dinner and breakfast. Extremely clean and comfortable and everyone very friendly.
Really nice hostel but very quiet as there’s not much to do in Cebu city. However a brilliant stop for a couple nights before or after a flight. Staff were amazing
the hostel was perfect for what I needed. I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than one night due to it's location, feels a bit sketchy and there's not much nearby. But I checked in here once I landed and then went to the bus station the next day which is close by. rooms and bathrooms are lovely as are all the staff!
Clean and lovely staff. Very accommodating. Food in the restaurant was well priced and tasty. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
We stayed at Moonstar for one night before getting the ferry to Bohol. It was near the port so very convenient for us to travel the next day but we didn’t leave the hostel / explore the area at all. There is a restaurant within the hostel that we ate dinner & breakfast at which was convenient. The hostel itself is super clean, beds are so so comfy and each pod has everything you need. Great for a good night’s sleep before onward travel. We were the only people in the dorm so not social at al...
Had a fantastic stay here. Stayed in the private room and it was great. Staff were super helpful, and fixed the few small issues I had quickly. Location is kinda out of the way, but a 1 minute walk will put you on a road with Jeepneys. The restaurant on the roof was absolutely delicious, and pretty reasonable priced. Not a lot of atmosphere for a hostel, but worked for me as a relaxing stop to re-energise, and have some downtime.
Fine for a 1 night stopover. It's more of a capsule hotel than a hostel so unfortunately no social atmosphere or activities. The bed was really comfy although I did hear noise from a nearby bar until quite late which kept me awake. Friendly staff on check in and a convience store in entrance lobby for food and essentials.
