8th Street Hostel

Really unfriendly staff. The toilet has no seat and the showers were absolutely disgusting. Would definitely not recommend to stay here. One of the worst hostels I ever stayed.

AMAZING!! SUCH comfy beds - everything was so clean- highly recommend! Staff were nice and bathrooms adequate

Pas propre, je ne me suis pas sentie safe ( étant une femme qui voyage seule). Le personnel est quand même très sympa. Moisissure et moucherons dans les douches. L’avantage reste la localisation, à quelques minutes à pied du port.

Wifi sucked and only worked in the lobby (And then it was extremely slow). Took me 2 hours to book a flight because the wifi disconnected and then I had to start over.The place works if you are going to stay one night before moving on.

Great location to catch an early ferry but other than that I am not sure.

If you’re a fan of cockroaches and cold water in a neighbourhood where you feel as though at any moment you’ll get mugged then this is your place. Ironically they have stickers that say ‘cleanliness is next to godliness’ so this place must be far from God.

This place doesn't really operate as a hostel - it's a motorbike rental place into which they've developed a space with 4 (X2) bunks. The 'common' room is actually the rental office-cum-motorbike store -cum family living/dining room cum family kitchen - there are no facilities for making tea /coffee - or for preparing /storing food. The bunk-room area, constructed within this space, has been done using paper-thin walls with zero sound insulation. The adjacent toilet facilities were very poor

The noise was Terrible, there wasn’t any toilet paper on the bathrooms and there were ants in my bed. And I was bitten multiple times.

To be honest I never leave reviews for hostels but this one needed on for sure . The staff worker, the guy with the blond died hair, is absolutely terrible . First day I booked he kicked me off the sofa told me go to my dorm- cannot stay in the common area . Second time I stayed without pre booking he was very rude after I asked him about a lost item. He sits on the sofa eating in the common area all day and was not hospitable or kind . Showers are full of flys most taps don’t work too

Could smell and see mold all in the form and bathroom. Not very clean over all and the vibe is weird. Super close to ferry port though

staff was helpful and friendly. close to the north bus terminal, so its a convenient stop before heading to bantayan.

Decent hostel, good dorms in a good location. Unfortunately, it is full of locals who are studying / working. They made a lot of noise and turned the lights on at 5:30 - 6am in the morning. When I told them to keep it down and to use their bed lights - the owner came in and had a go at me, claiming it 'was morning'. Absolute lack of knowledge of hostel etiquette from everyone. The lady mgr. is lovely though, can't recommend this place as a backpacker place as a result of this experience :...

Excellent location - 10 min walk from pier and for the sights. No atmosphere. Beds were fairly well set up.

The guy who runs this hostel was so kind and helpful! We were able to rent a bike from him and drive around the island for a few days even:) Had a great stay- definitely recommend!

Just stayed one night but everything was okay to me

worst hostel ive stayed in. unclean. smelt of urine. bed sheets had urine stain on them amongst other stains & hairs. toilets were disgusting, showers unusable. only good thing was the aircon worked at least
