HI Castelo Branco - Pousada de Juventude

It was a pleasant hostel to stay at, thanks to the receptionists and staff.

This was a great place but somewhat clinical. Unfortunately I had to stay in a top bunk which was very difficult for someone with arthritis. Worse was the person in the bottom bunk coming in at 3 am and letting their morning alarms repeatedly go off over and overagain from 7 - 8 am. Not much sleep and no lie in! Breakfast ok but no alternatives for plant based eaters, so this could change. The bathroom was v good but some of the fixtures (locks and bolts), shower head hol could be renewed.

The environment is very nice, and there is nothing to say about cleanliness because I did not find anything to fault. And their behavior is very good.

Gostámos muito da pousada. Queríamos apenas avisar que não há ar condicionado, apenas uma ventoinha que não roda.

It was good enough. In town for a night for work. No AC in a super hot city but besides that its all ok... Great bathroom/locker room, room is alright, nothing special but does the job

Oud, gedateerd hostel, water druppelt van de plafond. Het was een shock, wilde eerst weglopen, maar het was er rustig, elke nacht goed geslapen. Telkens heel vriendelijke mensen tegen gekomen. Er was ook extra ontbijt bij de prijs, wat goed was.

Good points are, cheap and hot shower Some refugees live in this hostel. They are noisy until midnight and smelly. Breakfast start too late. And poor, they didn't add any fruit and toast, only first people take everything, then remained hard bread and tea. Room was cold. Hairdryer was... I've never seen such historical dryer. It made noise, no blew

Okay- not great, clean, “meh” atmosphere

Acho o preço alto por jovens portugueses. O espaço sanitário tinha cheiro no primeiro dia de minha estadia. Mais tarde já não notei. Esse espaço precisa de melhorar, pintar os tubos ou preferivelmente fazer teto falso para esconder os mesmos. Na sala comum existe só um ligação a corrente que hoje a dia é uma grande falta. As luzes no quarto estão incómodas e não tem atmosfera. O almoço foi bom.

third experience in a « hi » hostel and still the same comfort, cleanliness and kindness from the staff. the location is nice ; the breakfast basic but good. only bad side is the very far single plug in the room

It will be the best if you can change the stairs on the beds and add some chargers points for the ones who stay on the top and some shelf

location was perfect, it was close to bus stop as well to city center. Stuff was also super nice And everything in the hostel was clean. Definitely recommend for your future journey.
