The atmosphere was a lot less social than I expected; maybe judgey. Location was nice but I wouldn’t stay again.
The location of the hostel is great and it was otherwise okay to stay here. But it’s super noisy, especially because the common area is in the middle of the hostel and all rooms are connected to it. It’s more a place for people who stay longer and look for a co working space. Cleanliness could be better, the bed sheets had stains on them. Also we got a private room with no windows, which is not really communicated, and not really nice, because the air does get bad after a while.
This hostel is in a great location and has the basics, but I found stains on my bedsheets and pillow cases, there’s virtually no sound barrier or security from the bedroom door, the bathrooms smelled, the closet was little more than a shelf. The coworking area looks like a room in the pictures but is actually just an alcove off of the main area — not a place to take a call or get work done. There are a lot of hostels in Mexico City. This one works in a pinch, but I recommend looking elsewhe...
Paper thin walls. Rooms are right off the common space & guest are up till 4am. Recommendations/info from staff are limited. They offer 2 tours (if you can enjoy them on no sleep). Shower was hot OR cold water. Towels are free, good location.
great experience!
Nice quiet hostel, great location and very safe area
Great location, clean and with a lot of space
CERO RECOMENDADO
I had the best stay at U-Co. It really felt like home. The people are amazing, the work spaces are super good, the places to chill are so cozy and the kitchen is perfect to prepare your own food. Besides I slept super good and the bathrooms are clean. It feels like a big shared flat with so nice people, not like a hostel. I hope I can come back one day! ❤️
One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in! Lots of places to work during the day with several other remote workers, I had no internet issues during the week I stayed. The kitchen is large and stocked and they provide coffee and tea! The staff are also very friendly and even offered a mezcal shot for free.
Muy buena ubicación, habitaciones cómodas. Sin dudas volvería a hospedarme.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend staying at U-Co Roma. I was assigned the Mariana room, which has no windows and a musty smell. After two nights, I discovered several bed fleas and woke up with bites all over my body. I reported it immediately, but the response was dismissive and unhelpful. I also emailed them requesting a refund and never got a reply. A place with bed fleas is a serious health issue. I strongly advise against staying there.
Good private room in a quiet and secure hostel. Didn’t seem to have staff very often but the cleaners were friendly. Long term guests mainly but everyone was nice.
Calm atmosphere, enclosed beds, and kind staff. Unfortunately, hygiene was a major issue—bathrooms were often filthy despite staff efforts. Posters reminding guests to flush, use the toilet brush, and avoid throwing paper on the floor would help. I only showered right after cleaning, as it was otherwise too disgusting. People also left dirty dishes for the staff, which felt really disrespectful. The lack of basic manners from other guests ruined the vibe—I’ve never seen anything like it.
For a co-working hostel, I was extremely disappointed with the noise level. Every night there were people talking, playing games, and watching tv loudly until past 1am. There are quiet hours that are not enforced or respected. Check in was also confusing and it is weird there are no staff there generally. Otherwise the amenities are nice, location is good, and it is generally pretty clean.
I didn't expect to find such a quite and relaxed place in a city. Good vibe and really nice people. Loved it!!
I met incredible likeminded people at U-Co Roma. The house was super clean and well kept, great location, great wifi, big kitchen.. The dorm beds were the best i've experienced in my travels.
This place was pretty cool, comfy beds, GREAT WIFI. Good place for working, the downside is that this isn't really staff on site and activities are listed but just broad recommendations unlike some of the more corporate hostels. I stayed here for 5+ days so I could get some work done and it's in the heart of roma norte so you can explore roma and condesa easily enough. Social atmostphere is meh but I had some social folks that I connected with.
I stayed in a private room for one night while passing through CDMX. I arrived after 6pm so did a self-check in. The code was sent to me the same day while I was travelling without internet access so I just managed to get in when I arrived as another guest let me in. Could have been unlucky. Anyway, the location is great with so many cafes and restaurants nearby. I would stay here again just one to be aware of with the check-in.
