Cedar Ridge Lodging

Overall a great place to stay, and experience local life if you would like. Arlene and her niece were extremely hospitable and I had a great time staying here. Some things to note are the mosquitoes, there's quite a few, so do bring bug spray. Also, if you're booking the private room, it may be one where the ceiling is not 100% private, it's shared with another room but still privatized by the other walls! All else, it was an amazing place to stay and I would definitely consider staying again!!!

This was a beautiful place to stay in Montego Bay! The location was pretty convenient for how beautiful and expansive the views of the city were. We took a route taxi to the base of the hill and walked the rest of the way (~10 min), but you could easily hire a taxi to drive the rest of the way. Our host was so friendly and helpful, especially considering it was Easter Sunday (thank you for sharing your holiday with us). Only regret is we didn't spend more time here! Highly recommend!

Very peaceful atmosphere, with a great view.

Cedar Ridge is a super beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Arlene's smile was the first thing I saw when I arrived to Jamaica as I arranged for her to pick me up at the airport, and it set the whole tone for my trip. She is very warm and helpful and just has the best vibes! Her place is full of local art and has gorgeous views. The kitchen is fully stocked and available to use. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for location because it is a bit remote but that is also why it is so charming!

Great place to stay with other guests or by yourself! Arlene will make sure you’re safe and comfortable during your stay is a beautiful location! Take mosquito repellent.

One of the best views in Montego Bay, safe area and very clean amenities. We had some trouble finding it, but the hosts were great in helping us find the place.

Your location in the Bosque at top of the hill was great. You were not near any stores, but your place was silent (great) during the nightly. I was very satisfied.

I had a very good stay at the Cedar Ridge Lodge. The view is amazing! It’s a little outside, so you have to know about the Route Taxis. But if you do, it’s only a short time to the city center! It’s clean and the warm water works!

Great relaxing atmosphere.

It was not bed and breakfast, but no worries. Transportation can be more transparent to and from destinations. Returning to airport/ bus station; myself and other person were charged $35.00 USD each. It was my understanding that the price would be the same for up to four people. Felt a little ripped off. Gave 48hrs to cancel my last three nights due to personal legal issues. The owner was not happy about it.🤔

The hostel itself was cute, colorful and clean and the location has an amazing view. the wifi works really good. but the shower didn‘t really work and the toilet was broken, you couldn‘t even flush. you have to take a taxi if you wanna go to the city or walk at least 1 hour.

I had an amazing time here! It was so relaxing with a great view and the sounds of nature. Arlene is an awesome host and was very helpful with places to go and how to get there.

My stay at Cedar Ridge was wonderful. Arlene is such a kind and generous woman. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay and overall trip to Jamaica was 5 star. Arlene was kind enough to go through my whole itinerary with me and even shared contact details of friends with me. I would hug recommend staying at Cedar Ridge.

Our stay at Cedar Ridge was wonderful. Would definitely recommend for those looking to stay in the Montego Bay Area. Arlene and her sister Winsome were great hosts and very friendly. The common spaces were wonderful and peaceful, especially the back porch area that has an amazing view of Montego Bay, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking! Our only regret is that we didn't book to stay longer. We stayed for two nights on the tail end of a week long trip.

My stay at Cedar Ridge Lodging was wonderful! I actually extended my stay there instead of moving on to other places because I was so comfortable and made it my home base for day trips to beaches and sight-seeing. The proprietor is super-knowledgeable and warm, the housekeeper provided tasty meals for a nominal amount, the house itself is filled with works of fine art, paintings and handicrafts from talented local artists and the kitten of the house stole my heart. 10 out of 10 for the sea view!

One of the most peaceful places I've ever stayed. The hostess is such a lovely woman with a kind soul. The place is so breathtaking that you'll want to stare at the view all day.

This hostel was very nice. I enjoyed being in nature, but it was a little difficult to get to being up in the hills. While the open plan is really nice, they need more mosquito netting (there was not enough for every bed). Hot water wasn't functioning well. While these things are the downsides, overall, it was a very nice place to stay, and I appreciate the host! She was very generous and helpful.
