Michelle is amazing. She was so easy to work with. We felt right at home. Thank you will be back
Really cute spot, perfect location in terms of beach, rails to trails, and local food spots. The house has a lot of character and our host was very friendly!
Michele ist eine sehr liebenswürdige Gastgeberin, und es war sehr interessant, sich mit ihr zu unterhalten. Sie ist großzügig und hat tolle Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung! Vielen Dank Michelle! Ulrike
Awesome location and beautiful setting. Nice communal kitchen and great to visit with other guests. Excellent suggestions for touring. The Rug Hooking Museum of North American is a must see.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else, I don't really want to describe how lovely I found it to be as I feel like it's still a secret getaway and when word gets out it might not be as easy to book and more packed full! However it was truly a breathtaking area to be staying in and the house though rustic was comfortable and warm. There are big scenic windows in the dining room and living room. A surprise was a hot tub! There are a few wee special touches that you'll have to discover for yourself!
Michelle molto simpatica e disponibile per ogni domanda.
Great place to stay if you want to visit near the water. Close enough to Halifax to reach amenities but far enough away that you feel remote. A car is necessary for the lodging.
Was perfect. A gem considering the location to nearby areas such as Peggy's Cove , Chester ( my fav) and of course nearby sandy beaches and the r to r bike/ hiking trail behind the property. Mitchell is a caring kind person w a nice kitchen set up. Oh she has a hot tub and killer outdoor shower. Groceries / gas 10 mins away plus a lobster super place.
It was amazing! The house the host the surrounding is incredible nice! Especially if you look for a relaxed stay outside the city! BBQ, fire pit, beaches, garden, everything you need around! 😍 100% recommend 🤝
The Backpackers Beach House is a hidden treasure! Well worth the distance if you have wheels. Located on St Margaret’s Bay, the house looks right out at the bay and there is a sandy beach minutes away along a shared-use trail at the back of the property. Michelle, who manages both Backpacker Hostel properties, is a super welcoming host with lots of helpful tips & info. The house is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved it so much we ended up extending our stay...
I had a really nice time here, even though I was the only one! The property is just open again as a hostel after Covid. To get there, you really need a car, but it’s so worth it, since a car then allows you to explore lots of the surrounding towns/markets. The house is quiet and feels more like a bed and breakfast than a traditional hostel. It has a good kitchen, but also there are many places around to eat. Michelle was very attentive and good at suggesting things to see! Would stay again!
