A solid hostel but pricey. Staff and location were 10/10 couldn’t be beat. The private room was nice but a bit bare, and things were just a bit more complex than they had to be, like shutting the kitchen overnight or not having a change machine with the washer/dryers or a card option. The atmosphere was okay, they clearly do a lot of events but due to the size of the place it’s a bit daunting to meet people. If you’re here with friends you’ll have a blast I’m sure, the club is fun ...
Highly recommend, great location, great people, all the staff were very friendly. Theres plenty of events on too. Only issue I had is that It can be pretty noising at night, but would stay again!
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect, we could walk everywhere or take transit. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but overall was pretty good!
Amazing location! Could walk pretty easily to the opera house and other key places, and access public transport super easily from central station. The trivia night was okay for meeting people but otherwise I did find it a bit hard as the girls in my room were not sociable and there wasn’t a clear particular social area to meet others, as places like the kitchen were always full of formed groups already.

Nice place! Clean close to everything
Wake Up! Central is the perfect location to view Sydney. It is right in the heart of everything, which makes sight seeing easier. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sydney to check it out.
Wir hatten grundsätzlich einen soliden Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist sehr gut und das Personal wirklich nett. Die Küche ist etwas klein und die Badezimmer sind nicht die saubersten.
The only good thing about this hostel is the location and the staff. It was so noisy! I was on the 5th floor but was kept awake by the music from the club below until 4am. There aren't enough cooking facilities for the number of guests and the kitchen is always packed and dirty. Lots of groups too so difficult to meet people. If you want a party hostel then I'm sure this is fine but don't book if you actually want some space or sleep.

A bit disappointed I had higher expectations. I was on the third floor and you could clearly hear the sound of the club in the basement. The bathrooms needed cleaning more frequently. Kitchen was pretty good but not huge and a couple of fridges broke whilst I was there. One of the washing machines was also broken so there was only one for a whole floor of people. Overall okay but wouldn’t really recommend. It’s located near central which is good if you’re planning on doing day trips
Good hostel overall, the room is convenient, there was hair in my bedsheets so hygiene could be ameliorated. Not very social when i was there, it was mostly a bunch of Dutch ppl sticking together

I had a great time here, but I could easily see how you might not if you aren’t in a good dorm. It’s unwieldy in size and the top mission of the staff is to ensure you and funneled into the nightclub in the basement every night. Overly tight security and no towel was also a bit disappointing for the price
Top hostel, lekker centraal gelegen, schoon, goede bedden, schone keuken, genoeg badkamers, genoeg koelkasten, en leuk personeel. Pal naast de greyhound busstop en het centraal station dus dat is top! Verder is het ook nog eens sociaal. Ik zeg doen.
My favorite hostel on my whole east coast trip. Clean, good location, staff were all awesome, in particular Ari was amazing!
Great location and lovely free activities like the Sydney walk or the coogee to bondi walk - Alex did an amazing job explaining all the Sydney’s main attractions to us and on the coogee walk despite a lot of rain - he made the day so entertaining and enjoyable! So glad we met him! Only issue was the water stopped working for 2 nights so wasn’t great and no replacement offered. Not ideal
I can not complain about anything. It was great there.
