Urban Nomad - Kings Cross

Excellent location, beautiful walk to the opera house through the botanical gardens. Literally right on top of King’s Cross station which is 5 mins from central. The room was clean enough and the bathrooms too. Great value for money

The building is so depressing and old. It feels like a refugee camp but at least the breakfast was free.

Ich fand es nicht gut, es war sehr dreckig und hat komplett gestunken. Es gab kein Fenster in meinem Zimmer und die Küche war Echt unbetretbar und gab auch fast kein Geschirr.

I booked a room some time ago at a good price (up to date prices were higher). When I arrived, they claimed my reservation didn't exist, even though my email address was in the system. The staff tried to help but referred me to the manager, as I wanted at least my deposit back. A week later, I hadn't even received a reply. This is no way to treat guests.

Die Lage war top! Die Küche hat Öffnungszeiten und öffnet erst um 7 Uhr. Falls man früher geht, kommt man nicht zum Kühlschrank. Die Mitarbeiter hatten nichts von den Öffnungszeiten sowie vom Frühstück erzählt. Keine öffnungsbare Fenster.

AVOID. This is the dirtiest, most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Everywhere stinks, there was blood on the stairs, faeces in the toilets, bathrooms filthy, no windows in dorms. Screaming& music all night, flies in the kitchen - also hadn’t been cleaned since dinosaurs roamed. Shared a room with a member of staff who, every night, forgot her key and knocked to be let in at 2am. Also there was someone staying in our dorm, staff didn’t know who she was or how she got a key. Not very reass...

The staff was very friendly and nice but the hostel was very dirty.

Das Hostel war eine absolute Enttäuschung. Nur die Lage an der U-Bahn und der freundliche Empfang waren positiv. Das Gebäude roch stark nach Schimmel, war dreckig und heruntergekommen. Überall Ungeziefer, verschimmelte Badezimmer, keine Fenster und ständiger Lärm. Schlaf war unmöglich – nie wieder diese Unterkunft.

I spent two nights in this hostel with my brother, we got a double room. The window couldn't open, the space was so small. One thing that shook me the most ( wasn't from our room ) is that a guy, in the room opposite to our, didn't have a window, and it was a dormitory. This is crazy, wouldn't have to exist, not even in a cheap hostel ( and this wasn't cheap at all ). The only good thing was the position.

Terrible! Don’t ever consider booking this hostel. Probably the worst one in Sydney. The rooms are so small you can barely open your suitcase, now imagine that with 6 people in it. Bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in probably a month. The rooms look like prison cells. No windows. Decent location being very central and staff were great. After you need to wait 30 mins for them at the reception desk.

Zimmer ohne Fenster, stickig wie im Gefängnis. Überall Gestank – besonders im Kühlschrank, in dem Lebensmittel verschimmelt sind. Küche unhygienisch, Duschen verrostet. Meine Medikamente wurden im Kühlschrank unbrauchbar, neue Kühltasche musste gekauft werden. Keine Hilfe vom Personal. Viele Gäste leben dort länger und kümmern sich null um Sauberkeit. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend.

Amazing for the location (but even then, you aren't in the main city loop), decent for the price, but that's about it. Rooms are small and overcrouded, toilets/showers are fine, but nothing more. Breakfast is nice to have, but is very basic (toasts and cereals). The lobby is ok, but the kitchen is very poor. Staff is nice though. I'd say you pay for what you get, but even then it wasn't anything crazy. You can definetly find better and it will probably be more worth it.

You get what you pay for. Nothing exciting. Not super clean. Kitchen was a bit of a state. It’s a bed for cheap. Got what you need. No more.

Awful accommodation. The rooms were dirty and dark, no windows. The bathrooms were terrible, never clean, everywhere was mold and it smelled bad. The staff put my backpack in the luggage room and it was dirty after and smelled like alcohol. I need a new one now and have already written a review on google. Even though they responded and said they would offer me compensation for it, they haven’t answered my email. All in all terrible experience, scam and liars.

Great location, good price but the hygiene of the rooms, the kitchens and bathrooms weren't the best. There was not safe storage in the room as the locker was broken.

Terrible experience at this hostel. When we checked in, one of the beds was already used, but the staff just remade it and assigned it to us anyway. In the middle of the night, someone woke me up because I was in his bed, and it turned out there was an extra person in the room. There was no one at reception to solve the situation, so it turned into chaos — noise, lights, and a guest without a bed. The hostel staff never took responsibility, and the night I paid to sleep I couldn’t sleep at a...

Not Bad. Cool people, nice staff.

Didn’t expect much but was still a little disappointed. Rooms were verz stinky and the bathrooms dirty. (i think it’s mostly the travellers’ fault) but still. It was good that Kings Cross Station was right next to it, but the placement still was a very dirty area. Very friendly staff tho!!
