Sydney Central Inn

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It’s in a perfect location, the beds are comfy, it’s very secure. It is not a very social hostel as there are only 4 chairs in the kitchen (and no stove or oven) but everyone is very friendly. And it’s so quiet! The bathrooms are amazing with the toilet, shower, and sink in one room. I would imagine if the hostel was full, you might have to wait for a bathroom, but I never did. Be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs though.

Perfect location and friendly staff. There was some mold, but generally the place was looking clean and tidy.

They don't have the elevator working and no one helps you with your luggage. They don't have a kitchen to cook just a microwave, they don't offer breakfast. It's expensive for the little services they offer.

Probably was good, had nice shower facilities, bed sizes was great! Kitchen was small and no hob to cook food. Reception was in a complete different building, which isn’t convenient.

Rooms are quite okay (charger at bed) - the rest is just bad. Very old building, no common area, one fridge in the "kitchen". Not a hostel to meet others,okay for 1-2 nights. check-in was in an other hostel.

no lift in a 4 floor walk up. check in process was RIDICULOUS! no common area available or kitchen per renovations ( wo warning) i sent multiple emails before my arrival that all went unanswered! Same w my phone calls. Upon my arrival it seemed as if i was bothering the staff. I did not actually stay due to the issues. I did however find WAKE UP SYDNEY CENTRAL! very close by and super friendly!!!!! WAKE-UP SYDNEY CENTRAL WAS AMAZING!!!!!!

No common area, kitchen is just a microwave, reception are rude and it's in other building, wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone

Unfortunately the common room wasn’t available due to renovations. There also weren’t any lockers provided to store your luggage after checkout and the kitchen doesn’t have plates or an oven. Room was okay, not too noisy in a rather quiet area but still a very good location with everything around. All in all a solid hostel and a good stay.

Antique hotel very short of amenities: tiny kitchen, tiny lobby, 60 stairs, blocked fire escape, etc. Slightly better than sleeping in a car.

We stayed one night while traveling through Sydney, and it was okay for one night but I would not have stayed any longer. There is no communal areas like a living room etc. and the kitchenette is quite cramped. It was also a bit challenging to carry our suitcases up the stairs to the fourth floor without an elevator. The location is great though, right next to the central station and it was overall pretty clean.

Hostel bien ubicado. Todo estaba súper limpio. Las camas muy amplias y cómodas. La cocina es pequeña. No tiene un lugar de estar común.

Really nice property. Somewhat difficult to find the entrance but it was extremely clean and the bed was quite comfortable. For the value the facilities are quite good and you being located in downtown Sydney was quite nice.

If you need a clean and as-quiet-as-possible (after all, it is in the city center) place to stay with nothing fancy but also no BS, this is the place. They have just re-opened after Covid and I highly recommend supporting them -- I'm not sure the value for money can be beaten by any other place in the area. The place is cleaned daily, which many hostels in Sydney can't say! The manager and staff also have the Pod hotel around the corner. They're very attentive and will help with anything.

Rooms were tidy and felt safe. Kitchen didn’t have cooking facilities so was more of a kitchenette, couldn’t prepare any food. Common rooms were locked so no shared space (only had access to your room and no other facilities). Communication from reception was great and the team were accomodating. Blankets on bed were quite thin so would recommend a sleeping bag for cold sleepers. Very central location, but the building’s entrance is quite unattractive and smells strange. Good budget accom.
