Trekker’s Haven Enjoy Colombia

Really enjoyed our time at Trekker’s Haven. Alfredo and his family work really hard to make it a special homestay experience and were extremely helpful in helping us organise paragliding and a tour to Páramo Santurbán, among other things. They cooked lovely food and were always friendly and chatty. If you’re looking for a glimpse into the Colombian way of life as opposed to a traditional hostel then this is the place for you!

Being a guest in this house was a real “breath” of my trip. I was able to rest in a quiet place and I received all kinds of advice for trekking and hiking. The house is far from the city center, but you can go there with a bus after walking a bit. Alfredo and Olga are amazing people, I felt at home! Gracias ☺️

Alfredo et sa famille sont agréable, avec cette maison perdu dans la nature cela fait du bien. L hôte a pu me conseiller sur les différents lieu à visiter et surtout comment s’y rendre. Je recommande ++++

I really enjoyed my stay there, the owners are very nice and gave me a lot of recommendations for Villavicencio. The location is good and safe. I would come back :)

Is a great place to escape the big city of Bogota. The owners have a lot of great places you can visit while you are there. very cool place!

Alfredo and Olga were so lovely and really helpful with recommendations on things to do and were always there for anything I needed. The hostel itself is fairly basic but there is everything you need and it's all very clean. Unfortunately I was the only guest during my stay but the hostel has a lot of potential to be a good social with more people!

Enjoyed my stay overall due to quiet neighborhood near malls with air conditioning in some stores. Hosts are helpful and facilities good. Only 3 beds per dorm and one bathroom. It is a small house far from bus terminal. But you can catch local buses on the main street nearby. A fan is in the room but air conditioning would be needed to make the sleep comfortable. Interesting books on llano wildlife. You need a person to unlock front door since there is not a key. There are small lockers

Absolutely perfect for those passing through Villavicencio, looking for a tranquil place to rest easy and enjoy a relaxed, homely space, with great hosts armed with the best advice for activities or places to visit during your stay. Great staff that can provide you with everything you need. From information on tour ideas to connections to people to realize the tour. Place to go when in Villavicencio!

Really nice staff and good central location that felt very safe. Had everything we needed including drinking water and a nice clean bathroom. However the mattresses in the twin room were like concrete, I've never experienced anything like it. We got a terrible night's sleep after a long day in the city. This was the only issue we had, but it was quite a big one when the main purpose is to sleep. Aside from that it would have been very good value for money and a pleasant experience all round.
