The hostel was great. The staff was friendly and it was very clean. The only thing was our room was right by the kitchen which is open from 6am-11pm, the walls are very thin and it was quite loud the nights we stayed & people were also up very early for their hikes so we did not get a lot of sleep. As long as you bring ear plugs though it would be fine I’m sure.
This hostel is cute and in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and well maintained. However, it’s outrageously expensive for what you get. $63 USD for a dorm bed. Rooms are very small, especially with hiking gear, making them feel cramped and lacking privacy. There are no curtains or outlets at your bed. Breakfast costs $20,000, and you can’t have a coffee or tea unless you pay for the full breakfast, which was disappointing given the cost of a bed...
Hostel has multiple small communal areas, some of which are right outside rooms making for noise. Walls are paper thin - ypu can hearing snoring in the adjacent rooms for example so even a private room doesn't guarantee some quiet unfortunately. Beds are very firm and not particularly comfortable compared to other hostels I've used in argentina. Its in a good location with plenty of eateries close and near to trail heads.
We loved it here, super nice hostel and the staff were amazing
Poor kitchen cooking facilities Horrible bathroom
Excellent place to stay for hiking. Staff is nice, breakfast is sufficient, showers are hot. If you’re looking for a more lively hostel, I’d look somewhere else. If you’re looking for convenience, practicality and location than it’s perfect!
Great hostel really enjoyed my stay here, comfortable beds and living space and good kitchen, good location to go off hiking and eat locally
Decent location. No breakfast included. Basic facilities.
Great location, kitchen is basic but clean. Rooms surround kitchen so can be noisy and rooms are very small. Pricey for what you’re getting.
Fijne plek om te zijn en vandaar uit te wandelen. Veel enthousiaste wandelaars daar.
Good location close to the entry of the National Park, good staff but toilets could be better.
Patagonia hostel is super nice with a ski chalet feel to the place. The staff were very friendly! The hostel is very close to the national park entry but also super close to the small town and shops. The bedrooms are tight but nice enough. We loved it here
Loved our stay here, pretty fresh and clean, close to all the trails and nice staff.
Great location halfway between bus station and trailheads. Good size kitchen with everything you need to cook dinner and prepare food for trekking. Nice atmosphere with travellers sharing tips for trekking.
Tolle Unterkunft, nettes Personal, Zimmer eher klein für 4 Personen (+Gepäck), schlechtes Wifi
We thought it was over priced for what you get. Bunks and rooms are super small and no breakfast included. $13 USD for a basic hostel breakfast. El Chalten is expensive but there are lots of other places in the city that have better rooms, offers, etc.
Absolutely loved this place. Great value for money. Something that’s could be better is Security at front door could. May be by giving us a band otherwise anyone can walk in and walk into your room. Also the walls are thin so bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to that. Otherwise loved this place.
great hostel,convenient location
Beautiful hostel. Kitchen has tonnes of space with fridges and designated storage for dry food. Welcoming staff and can borrow hiking poles. Expensive, but so is everything in town. Would recommend.
