Manapouri Holiday Park

Surprised this place isn’t better reviewed, it’s in a stunning location for a good price. Beds were not the greatest, but the grounds themselves were good

Very nice place I really enjoyed it, very cosy. We stayed in the dorm and it was very old fashioned but I liked it. Showers have a button on the outside that to have to press for it to be hot for 7 mins which was slightly annoying but nothing to worry about if you shower quickly. Was still a bit cold for me but I think I did it wrong. Person at the desk was lovely

Nice view from the site and not far from Te Anau! Our cabin was clean but cold, and we did a load of laundry but the dryer didn’t work, so we had to hang it up inside. The bathrooms were a bit grotty and sometimes the kitchen too. Lovely staff!

Excellent Holiday Park pour rayonner dans le fjordland, nous avons dormi en dortoir et c’était très agréable. Cuisine bien équipée. Il y a même un terrain de volley !

Good spot to spend a few days in Te Anau.

I only stayed for one night at the campsite. Staff was nice. Didn’t use kitchen facilities, but used the bathroom, and I’ve seen nicer. It was fine for one night tho. The whole campsite had a very homely vibe, and it was very close to the lake, to go and see the beautiful sunset. However i think if people wanted to, they could probably just drive in and park. There is no security or code….

it was such a calming and relaxing place, I wish I could've stayed longer. Very disconnected from the world and it was great to unwind. Everyone who stayed was so down to earth. We made a few late night walks to the lake to watch the stars too, having little light pollution so we could do this was an added bonus

Since it's a holiday park, you share the bathrooms and kitchen with everyone else staying there (in vans, tents and what not), so it can get quite busy. But they have a decent set-up, just be prepared to cut your hot shower short after 7mins. The dorm was spacey enough, the mattress quite saggy though. Overall a good cheap option for a short stay.

We booked a twin room, it was good, lots of heating options for the cold nights, good linen and nice view to the lake. The showers and toilets were pretty far, we had to walk about 2 minutes to get there every time, and that's fine unless it's freezing outside. Showers are pretty bad, you only get 7 minutes of water and the stream itself is really low, the room is also freezing cold so as soon as you're out you're shivering. Not that much of a vibe to the place as well, compared to a hostel.

Lovely place with lots of character, very friendly hosts, right on the beach. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Manapouri
