A lovely family run hostel. It was all girls so nice to meet new people and the owner was very helpful! The rooftop was nice and a great location. The owner also put together a pinned map of restaurants and activities etc on WhatsApp which was super helpful! There was also a kitchen fully stocked with sandwich bags etc and a supermarket over the road!
I absolutely loved my stay at Wontonmeen and even came back a week later. Patricia is incredibly kind and truly cares about her guests, which makes the whole place feel so welcoming. The rooftop terrace is lovely and was one of my favourite spots. I can highly recommend staying here!
Really lovely hostel, great facilities and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
Lovely hostel, I stayed in the female dorm with had an en-suite. Bathroom had shampoo and conditioner which I appreciated! As a female solo traveller I felt very safe. The rooftop area was also lovely and facilities overall were great. Owner was also very kind and helpful, offering plenty local recommendations. Overall fab experience.
très bon établissement mais difficile de faire des rencontres
The hostel is in a super nice location with lots of good food options near by as well as public transport. My favourite thing about the hostel was probably the rooftop terrace. The perfect place to enjoy some food, make new friends or just let the city live soak in.The rooms are small,as to beexpected in Hong Kong. However due to the thoughtful layout it wasn't bothersome at all. I had a spectacular time and would absolutely recommend this place!
I stayed here during my 20 hour layover and it was perfect for what I needed. I had a 11pm check-in after my international flight and it was straight forward. The facilities felt very insecure and only accesible with access codes and a key code. The female dorm was clean, modern, equipped with A/C, WiFi, toiletries and hot water. The hostel is centrally located and close to bus stations and trains.
First thing's first, if the common area was not available it had to be noticed PRIOR. The photos on the website shows it looks like a social hostel, but it was dead when I visited. since common area was closed (and we didn't even know why, the staff never tild us the reason) and the rooftop wasn't organized at all. And the girl working there answered the phone and so but there is no reception you can get help from. The facilities do their job but the room wasn't cleaned that much.
Very good place to stay! (I stayed in a private room) it was a calm place! Theres zero to none social atmosphere but i wasnt looking for it either. I would classify this as a guest house more than a hostel. Would definitely stay again though!!
Rooms are great and super clean! Staff is kind and accommodating. Common spaces are under construction / a bit dirty but the rooms have GREAT AC and are super clean so that’s what matters. Location is a bit random but easily navigated with metro.
When arriving from the airport, I couldn’t pay my taxi bc Alipay and Credit Card were not accepted. The hostel owner rescued me then gave me a beer. I am forever in their debt 🙏🙏 I met nice travelers from all over the 🌍, and found the walk to Prince Edward station easy & convenient. The private room had Central Air & a shower. Common room has guitar, video games, and Billiards to unwind. For the value and social aspect, definitely worth it. Thanks!
Had so much fun that I considered staying for longer. Lovely vibe, excellent hosts! Can not recommend enough! Everything is thought through and you can tell they have been doing this for a long time, because it works super smoothly. Things are clean, tidy, the beds are super comfy and the AC is amazing.
Had a great stay here, friendly staff - happy to help with anything and give good recommendations too. 5-10min walk from nearest MRT station. Stayed in the female dorm en-suite and it had comfy beds with curtains for privacy. Great views from the rooftop and there’s a good common area too.
It has a rooftop and a piano, I’m not sure what else you need to know. What a lovely gem of a hostel!
The hostel was incredibly clean. I stayed in the female only dorm and we had an en-suite bathroom that was cleaned thoroughly every day. Our beds had little curtains for privacy & under-bed lockers that were big enough to fit my very large suitcase, which made everything feel very secure. Access to the hostel was easy & it was a nice calm environment. I put a 4 for location because it was a little further from the more central touristic areas, but actually, it was very easy to get around anyway.
Perfect little hostel, super laid back and chill, plenty of memorabilia, super friendly people, all around great.
The staff and the atmosphere are definitely what makes this places the place to stay , it’s a very different style and it may not appeal to some people but it’s made up by personal touch you will receive from the hostels owner Patricia and another staff member Emily who were stand out for me! Would definitely recommend
Great hostel, one of the best I’ve been — the spaces have great design and vibe ( on the hippie side of things) but nothing is missing. Staff is great always available in WhatsApp and in person for suggestions or chats. Definitely will be staying here again if coming to HK another time!
one of my favourite hostels ever! in a cool local neighbourhood and the owner patricia is lovely and welcoming
Un hostel estupendo y más para los precios de Hong Kong. Lo único es que podrían poner toalla para asearse, el resto todo perfecto. ☺️
