La réception n'était pas dans le même immeuble que la chambre, on nous à emmené dans une autre rue sans explications, ce n'était pas très rassurant, surtout la nuit. Les gars de de la réception n'était pas sympathique non plus. Quelqu'un était perdu et leur a demandé un conseil ils se sont moqué de lui en disant " you're such a stupid guy". Just don’t do it. Location is good but that’s about it. It isn’t very clean there are no common areas, it is super old and run down and just generally uncomfortable to be in.

I don't recommend it. Situated in Chungking mansion (a place that the locals avoid) it can be hard to find it, plus it's dirty, staff is really not welcoming, almost no facilities and it's not comfortable. My advice: avoid this place

Quite OK considering the rate.

If you just want a cheap room in Hongkong this is a good place to stay! We decided that we didn’t want to pay too much and for the price it’s alright. If you are hoping to find a social hostel this isn’t the place. The rooms reminded me of a bathroom that had a bed in it. The building where the rooms are doesn’t really feel safe but as soon as your behind the locked are you should be fine. It is very central though!

FYI to travelers from the states: this hostel is not like hostels in the U.S. (or maybe Europe either). There are roaches that come out at night. Security is good, location is great, price is good, but it's not that 'nice.' There's no comfortable common area either, and this is typically a must for hostels. Best, Jessica

RATS IN OUR ROOM! Please avoid this hostel at all costs! We planned to stay for 5 nights and left after only 1. We got placed into a box room with the shower being right over the toilet, very little room to move around, no towels and no remote for the TV. The worst part came when we went to bed, we heard loads of squeaking coming from under our bed, it was that loud we thought a rat got caught in a trap or something from another room, turned out to be 2 rats under our bed fighting! THIS IS THE WORST HOSTEL to exist. Firstly, we left bags at the hostel before check in and one of my bags were stolen. We asked them to look on their 24 hour security but nobody knew how to rewatch it??? We also heard other guests complaining of things that had been stolen after the cleaner had been in. Dodgy. Man fühlt sich in den kleinen Zimmer ohne Tageslicht wie im Knast. Das personal war komisch. Um in das Hostel zu gelangen muss man durch eine Art Ladenpassage laufen wo auch Essen abgeboten wird. Die Leute dort sind sehr aufdringlich, es werden einem dort auch Drogen angeboten. Ich war alleine als Frau dort und und habe mich noch nie auf meiner Weltreise so unwohl gefühlt wie dort auf dem Weg in mein Hostel.

bed sheets smelt like vomit. the one bathroom was shared between all rooms, and half the bathroom door was missing. bugs everywhere. I've never stayed anywhere worse.

Booked for 4 nights, left after 1 - possibly the worst place I have stayed in 6 months of travelling. Firstly check in is a nightmare with one reception managing the 10 or so 'guesthouses' the owners actually control. Don't expect any decent customer service either, I was shouted at and just asked for money. Then I was led to my bed which wasn't even fresh/clean and seemingly only given to me as it was the only free one in the room (which looked nothing like the pictures attached). To top things...

It's in the Chungking Mansion, don't expect much from there. A lot of people going here for 1 night, this is what this hostel is for. The Chungking Mansion is not the safest place but I got no trouble when being there for a week. No key to the room and a tiny locker for your valuable but a key for the place itself. Itwas very clean and very cheap. Can do the job for acouple nights if you're only going through Hong Kong
