Disappointing experience: Rude management and overpriced for the quality. the worst part was the service. When I returned to pick up my luggage (which they keep unsecured in the hallway without any tags), the owner—an older woman—started screaming at me simply because I was putting some items I had just bought into my suitcase. She was incredibly aggressive, raising her voice and implying that I could be stealing from others. The cat is sick and as she said “can’t take to vet cause is e...
No social at all. Cheap and that’s it. No social area and you can’t even sit on the reception area for some reason lol. No other bathroom other than the one in your room. Old building, normal staff, busy street and it doesn’t feel like a proper hostel but you get for what you paid for I guess.
Lovely place. The hostess was very accommodating and kind. She even went and woke up the Boss so that I could give Boss scratches before I left, (yes, the boss is really that cute). The rooms are very clean andand well kept. You'll find them small, but that's how all the hostels I've stayed at in Hong Kong have been, so I knew what to expect. I really hope I can come back to this hostel again one day.
As other people have mentioned, you get what you pay for. This is probably the cheapest spot in HK not in the Mansions, so don't expect fancy. The good: host is awesome, she is direct and accommodating. I don't think you can beat the location: in the heart of Mong Kok, a block away from the MTR. The streets around the hostel are positively buzzing. The not so good: the rooms are very cramped, have many smells, and do not feel secure. The clientele does not seem to be the solo backpacker type. I ...
When I went there was a water outage meaning we couldn’t shower, flush the toilet, etc. I also saw a rat in the hallway outside my room. The hostel is on the 14&15th floor so you need to take the lift up but there’s always a queue and the lift made a kind of clicking noise when it came down which wasn’t reassuring. In a good location but still about a 45 min walk from the waterfront. Regardless, Hong Kong is expensive so as a cheaper option it’s ok.
Good value for what you pay. Has everything you need. Right next to ladies market. Make sure to say hello to the Cat and ask any questions to the lady at perception- she is very friendly.
I saw bad reviews for this place which made me hesitant but honestly…I had such a nice stay. The woman checking me in spoke good English and communication was super good. As soon as I made the booking they sent me clear instructions on how to find the hostel (on the 14th floor) They also advised me, the cheapest way to get to the hostel from the airport. It’s a super good location and although the rooms are small this is to be expected in HK. For the price it’s eally good
stayed there for a little more than a week, the lady was so so nice and everything was clean and good ! would recommend it, the location is perfect (right next to the subway station). didn’t get to see the cat but everything was great 🙆♂️ thank you !
I get scammed!! Don't go to this place. It looks nice but the place is not. Once I paid, the lady said me that the hostel is full, and so I will go to an other hostel they are working with in the same building. She did not wanted to show me photos or to say the name of the new place. She was not nice and kept lying about everything. Afterward I found that this place had a grade of 5.7 on hostelworld I had not a nice night between ants and coakroaches... Definitely a place I can't reccoman...
First of all they charged us 5% more instead of 3% as the app told us. Second, we were out of the rooms at 10:55 as the check out time was at 11. We waited at the door of the reception for a while and as a Guy entered we went in as well to see ef we could leave our bagaje waiting there for someone to attend us, half an hour later the the lady came at us really mad shouting that we did late the check out and that we should have waited outside with really poor maners! Poor quallity
The wifi in the bedrooms is so slow that is imposible to use it. So i went to the reception to make a booking. The lady shouted to my face that i could not be in the common area, ever. So how are we supposed to use internet?
Pros: The location is good, 5 mins walking to the nearest train station. Not bad place to stay. Cons: The room is very small. Bathroom is very small as well. The wifi is so bad. No lockers.
Pretty good hostel for Hong Kong. Quite small and cramped but that's expected, excellent location, friendly staff. No kitchen, common room or laundry but I doubt many hostels in HK have those. Hot and cold drinking water available.
This hostel was perfect for my needs in Hong Kong! It’s in the heart of Mong kok which I loved but some may not. The building is rather sketchy looking (HK) and waiting for the elevator can take 10-15 minutes at night. The room is simple and small, but had what I needed. It’s very small and no social scene, but the woman who runs it is so kind and helpful. I would stay again.
Great hostel for price. All I would say is beds are extremely extremely creaky like I can’t move without waking myself up. Everything else is perfect but if you move around at night maybe not the best for you. Great value for money though and everything else was perfect!
Perfect location in a lovely area, within walking distance of all major sights. The room was just as described—small but clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom, which was all we needed. The highlight was the warm and helpful attention from the owner, who spoke excellent English and provided us with great tips. We truly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again!
L'hostel est très bien situé dans la ville et très proche du métro. C'est vrai que la chambre est petite mais c'est suffisant, ça manque de rideaux pour être plus dans son coin. Le lieu est calme et le personnel très sympa !
Our stay here was perfect for the location, and being on our feet around Hong Kong all day. The bedrooms were safe, and beds were comfy. There were places to charge your phones and there was a water filter for your bottles. Things to improve on: There was mouldy food left in the fridge, and the kitchen cupboards had lots of trash in them. Also, the buildings atmosphere was quite cold and dirty. Maybe better sign posting around the building and in the properties description
It's a place to sleep - really not much more then that. Not terribly clean, but could be worse. Location right in Mongkok close to the MTA is great. No common rooms or spaces to meet others.
Decent hostel in the center of Hong Kong, but for this price could be better. I booked 4 bed room and got a 3 bed instead. The beds didn’t have curtains and the bathroom the room was very small. There was a water dispenser with hot water and tea and coffee to use. I had to pay more for the night with holiday. The staff was nice.
