The staff are very accommodating. I even extended my stay because it's close to all. Like Ladies night market, foods and easy access to MTR
great location, good budget for hong kong
Not too much mold, only a few bugs on the floor.
Good value spot in an excellent location. Staff were friendly and spoke good English, rooms were nicer than other hostels I’ve stayed at in HK

Dragon Hostel has the best deal in HK. If you wanna stay at good location, nearby the subway station, shopping mall, many 24/7 restaurants and on top of that it is a very cheap to stay at this place, comparing to all other places in HK. The host is very helpful and friendly and they helped me to extend my stay for 3 more days, even though it was not possible to extend it online. This is my 3rd or 4th time to stay at his hostel and I will stay there again.
The hostel host were very helpful and friendly. But this place isn't good. So many roaches and bugs walking around the wall during sleep. I told the same to them and they just big sprayed. the location is in the centre of mong kok.
The value for price is quite good. However, in the evening people are inconsiderative of others, even past midnight I heard men talk very loudly to each other in the hallway, sometimes shouting. Maybe the hostel has no quiet time or if, it’s not taken care of that people respect it. The single room is quite small but cozy. If you are not too limited on your budget, I still recommend paying 10-20Euro more per night to have a good night sleep. Especially as a female solo Traveller.
I have no clue how this hostel was once rated the 2nd best in Asia. This was probably the worst hostel I have stayed in during my 10 month trip, and perhaps ever. Other guests were odd, inconsiderate long-term stayers, no atmosphere here whatsoever. Small, windowless rooms, no curtains, not very clean, only one charge port (not near my bed). One benefit was the strong WiFi signal in my room. I was glad to leave.
We spent 11 nights there, so we were able to see everything that this hostel had to offer. The room is very small, there's no room for your luggage. It's pretty clean, unlike the bathrooms. Be prepared because the showers are actually in the toilets and it's weird to get used to it. Everything is a bit old but the beds are pretty comfy. Staff is convenient and helpful. Extremely cheap if you're on a budget, would recommend for that.
This hostel feels like an authentic Hong Kong experience - staying in the mega block apartments. Hostel is kept clean, bed comfortable. Staff friendly. No real atmosphere for socializing but for me this is fine. Overall I would stay again. Thanks Stanley for a great stay!
You get what you pay for; especially in HK. However did not expect to be overrun with roaches. There are two chairs and no space in the ‘common area’. There were two ‘guests’ who probably have been residents there since 1985. No vibe, no atmosphere, nothing! There are three beds in a room which you can touch the person opposite you. Don’t bother coming here if you have an option.
Was an ok place to crash for a bit - and great location for exploring Mong Kok and Kowloon. Bedsheets felt clean. Staff didn't speak much English but were friendly. Lacked facilities such as multiple charging places in a room with multiple people, and small bedside lights - had to agree when to turn off the light and then find your way in the dark up the bunk bed! Air con worked fine. Toilet/shower did not feel very clean and I also did not manage to make the hot water work. Was good "value for ...
Positive sides first: the location and the staff. Then the not so nice sides: the room is really small, there is practically no space for backbags, there are people living there so the room is covered in their stuff, the place smells like mold, there are no locks in the toilets in the rooms, there are bugs crawling around the room, no hanging out area. I would still stay here again bc this is the cheapest I was able to find but my god this was the worst I have encountered in 8 months of travels
My room had no windows, the bed was old and noisy, and the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, my only roommate was extremely drunk and urinated all over the room, including on my luggage. When I discovered this, I went to the reception to speak with the manager, but they didn’t take meaningful action. As a result, I decided to call the police, despite the manager's disapproval. After the police arrived, the hostel owner came to speak with me, but he was not helpful a...
It’s fine. Great location and cheap. The rooms are extremely tiny though (that’s HK for you) but can be a bit much having 5 people sharing such a small space.
I would not recommend staying here to be honest. It’s a very old building and the hostel room has no privacy at all. You are crammed with 4 people in a small room and there are no curtains. Some people are living there for multiple months, so I don’t meet any other traveler’s. No common room, no vibe
Wonderful hostel in the centre of Mong Kok. Fantastic location, super friendly staff, great value for money.
Pretty good for the price. I wish the personnel speak more english. You can definitely get a good night of sleep and the beds are cheap.
It’s a very cramped tight hostel. Shower is over the toilet. Beds have no privacy. It’s in a very upcoming neighborhood of Hong Kong. Check in was smooth, there’s a lot of restaurants and stuff around. There’s 0 atmosphere.
