City HK Guest House

This place was quite strange. It was very difficult to locate on the map, and I was lost for a while trying to find it. The layout of the property is also confusing and poorly organized. It is located in the middle of what appears to be an Indian red-light shopping district, which was unexpected and a bit uncomfortable at first. To be fair, I cannot really recommend this place. However, this is Hong Kong, where it is generally difficult to find a spacious place at a reasonable price.

so expensive for this value. (25$) all hostels are same in the chunking massion. go there find the cheapest one.

Staff awful, I communicate some issues with the receptionist and I just looked at his phone. Wifi never really worked. For the price is okay the private room, that’s everything but beautiful. Not recommended

Some kind of alarm in the hallways was sounding during all of our stay, even after telling reception. Location was good. Rooms small and there was hair in the sheets.

The not welcoming nor helpful. The entire facility is a safety and fire hazard. There was a mattress blocking a fire exit, uneven floors, broken elevator and toilet, extremely cramped quarters and bathroom, there were smokers in the fire escape stairwell and the hotel staff are aware but look the other way. Their billing is all manually done. They required payment to be paid for the entire billing in cash which I didn’t have. I don’t understand why they still required a deposit.

lugubre, pas de fenetre, une cage a lapin humide, les prises electriques non compatibles avec le materiel europeen, 5 nuits horribles, seul le wifi est tres bon, et la douche chaude, c est deja ca. Je dois retourner à Hong Kong mais j'éviterai cet hôtel et tout le bâtiment "chuking mansion"vétuste et très sale

Ich habe nur die 10 Sterne Bewertung auf Hostelworld gesehen Als ich ankam musste ich 15 min lang in einem dreckigen Nachtmarkt mit komischen und zwielichtigen Gestalten nach dem Hostel suchen. In einem stinkenden Aufzug fuhr ich zum unfassbar unfreundlichen „Rezeptionisten“. Das Zimmer war dann noch schrecklicher als ich erwartet hätte (Ich schwöre ich habe noch nie in einem schlimmeren Zimmer übernachtet, als diesem). Kleines Bad ,duschen auf der Toilette, Tiere auf dem Boden. NIEMALS B...

I think if, you show up with a good attitude. you get treated well. They have been part of the adventure of hong kong. It's a very safe city. Have fun.

The staff at this place have such bad attitude on top of that they don’t give out towels and when you go to the toilet there’s no toilet roll and the showers don’t even work properly, no water hot and the rooms are okay and do look like what’s on the picture but everything else is just lost, also the rooms look like storage areas under the beds have suitcases, and it’s the worst place I’ve stayed in! Avoid if you can !

An absolute disaster. Nothing like advertised. Difficult to find space for two people to stand ! Bathroom was filthy, covered in mold, leaks from the shower head, sink and toilet. Windows wouldn’t close. When we discovered the bed room, we immediately asked to cancel the booking and obtain a refund, but it wasn’t possible, a waste of money. This is a s*** ! This place should not be kept open in these conditions, shame on you !

6 bed dorm - bed linen was not clean, lockers did not work, staff did not want to deal with you, no key / keycard provided, only one door locked with a code (which I had to ask for), if there's toilet paper it's wet because the shower soaks the whole bathroom, and to top it all off there are rats that run and jump across the room while you sleep.

The the room were clean and comfortable. I had a good sleep in a large bed. There is also a laundry machines on the ground floor of the building. However, my souvenir(candies) left on a shelf was eaten by insects without noticing. I think people who need completely clean environment shouldn’t stay there.

The picture of the rooms show clean sheets, and while we did not see any bugs in our bed, inspection of the pillows and mattress showed disgusting stains and grime. The bed had also been sawed in order to fit it into the room around a service duct built into the wall. The elevators were often used to send dirty dishes and food up from the vendors below and on a few occasions I saw cockroaches hitching a ride in the buckets of dirty dishes. Honestly could go on. The savings is not worth the stay.

Avoid, horrible.first I rent à luxuary room, and had my first night in à sharing room. and thé 2 nights in à single room. Nothing luxuary, My feet and my head touch thé wall. There was à mu***r in thé floor, police was there. This hôtel has 10 différent names, but it s thé same. S**m ! Nothing for youth hostel !

The front desk staff member I encountered was very rude. I was late to check out. I understand that it’s inconvenient for them, but these things happen. She yelled at me. Her tone was rude and dismissive. I was fine to pay the late check out fee— that wasn’t the point. The point is that a business shouldn’t treat its customers like s**t. My exchanges with other service members there were also not pleasant. I will never go back there.

This is really very good hostel and this price range and in the prime location, has all the facilities like fridge, microwave, coffee powder, hot water etc. Going completely satisfied
