Budget Hostel Hong Kong

The comments about hygiene concerns are untrue, the room was very clean and air conditionned. Too bad there are no separations for the beds to get privacy but overall good experience

First, it was kind of hard to find, there wasn't much signage within Chungking Mansions on how to get here. Once I got there, it's not a real hostel with common areas, it's very basic. There were no lockers, just tiny safes, and all the safes in the room were broken, the fornt desk assured me my stuff wouldn't be stone because they had CCTV. Also, the 4 bed dorm was actually a tiny bedroom with 2 beds and a bunk bed. There was a sliding glass shower door directly between the bedroom and bathroom

No Windows, dirty, and a really stink smell coming from the toilette. I got sick the second day. Terrible place. Avoid.

This place is not a 'hostel,' but a floor in a dilapidated building. There are about 50 of these 'hostels' and 'guesthouses' in this building called Chungking Mansion, a dirty, filthy building filled with illegal immigrants, criminals, and broke backpackers. These issues are actually not a problem with me if I'm paying $15-$20/night for a dorm room. The problem is the false avertising on the website. Please contact me.

If you don’t read this , you will regret. Don’t ever stay here!!! This is the worst hostel ever. Got a private room. Toilet lock is faulty. Bugs everywhere. The worst of it all is they come into your room when you are not in the room. Went down to check with them if anyone came into the room as my bag was moved. They said no. I told them I will call the police they say “let me check if anyone went into your room” And yes someone went it but was for repair of leak. When obviously there ...

Good location, poor maintenance leaking toilet, poor service,not worth the price

Ok if you set your bar low. The profile advertises things like laundry and free tea/coffee but they don’t actually have these facilities/services. No drinking water either. Bunks in dorm have no electrical outlets, personal lights or privacy curtains. Hot water only makes a brief appearance. Staff don’t clean the bathrooms. No common area. Ok if you’re just using the room to sleep for a few days but wouldn’t recommend staying long.

Multicultural, safe, amazing atmosphere, fun, great location, helpful staff. The go-to hostel in Hong Kong 🇭🇰
