The Freezer

Everything was good with the facility, except that the listing said there would be storage lockers, and there were not. It’s a safe area, but I prefer to have a locker in a hostel.

The Freezer was great. It is located in one of the best spots in Iceland getting away from the "masses". Atmosphere looks great... it was a pity that we were not ther on a week-end. It looked like it could get really fun.

Like to come back again.

This place served the purpose I needed it to serve while on my trip - a safe place to stay. Super cool vibe overall - the place has a lot of character and fun things i.e. games, pingpong, band instruments, plenty of seating, bar, etc. Although it wasn't the cleanest, it wasn't the dirtiest either. I had an entire quad to myself which was unexpected and super nice. The staff was very friendly. I mostly kept to myself while I was there so I wasn't being social but nobody really was. Very nice hostel, very clean. I can image it’s a nice place when it’s a little bit better weather (I was there mid during very bad winter weather. Would definitely recommend staying here if you visit the Snaefellsnes peninsula!

Nous avons serjournés pour une nuit et c’était l’idéal. Les chambres sont petites mais bien organisées. Le monsieur qui nous a accueilli était très gentil. Les espaces communs sont propres et accessible et fonctionnel. Super auberge pour rencontrer des gens et passer un bon moment 👍

We had a great stay at the freezer. Comfy beds, kitchen was well equipped and communal area was really cosy and good atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and friendly! I think it would be great if there were lockers in the dorm rooms as none available at present

The Freezer is a fantastic place, lots of ambiance and very friendly staff! Movie nights, live music and a bar make for relaxing evenings after a day full of adventure! Highly recommended!

Very nice hostel, clean rooms with reading lamp and electricity, nice kitchen and amazing common area. There are open mic nights and cool concerts, games, and stereo socket, very nice to hang out and recover from the harsh weather. Exceptionally cool receptionist who played Simon and Garfunkel for us.

Great space, very helpful staff, I didnt stay for too long but enjoyed my time and the treatment.

Great place, very fun and easy to use facilities. We were there on a Saturday and a live band came to perform. Everyone was very friendly, and had a full kitchen, the only thing that was a little hard for me was there was no where to store my stuff (no lockers or drawers) but I had a car so I kept almost everything I wasn’t using in the car when I was there. The showers only run for about 5 seconds when you press the button, so you have to keep pressing the button over and over, but water stay...

Unfortunately we came a day after there was a party so everyone was staying in but outside of Reykjavik this was the most lively spot we stayed in! (Which isn’t saying tooo much) but we met some awesome people in the lounge and played cards all night

I loved my stay at the Freezer! They have an awesome and comfortable common area to hang out, play games, and meet other travelers. I arrived after normal check-in hours and they had a note at the front desk with my name on it with instructions for my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Great atmosphere, great staff, great place, i' would be pleased to come again !
