Super good hostel in general, nice location, staff, yard, lignes, only downside would be the lavatory doesn’t have hot water (shower of course does)

I definitely recommend this hostel! It’s in a great location, and is good value. It’s pretty peaceful at night. I don’t speak much Spanish, but the staff were so helpful and patient. Also the breakfasts are nice!

Un gioiello a Monterrey! Soggiorno fantastico alla Casa del Barrio. La posizione è imbattibile: a due passi dal centro ma in una zona tranquilla e sicura. Le camere sono molto carine, pulite e accoglienti, curate in ogni dettaglio. Il personale è squisito e di una gentilezza rara. Un tocco magico è lo spazio all'aperto: fare un’ottima colazione in quell'atmosfera è il modo migliore per iniziare la giornata. Consigliatissimo! Gracias por la hospitalidad y por hacerme sentir como en casa!

Fue una grata experiencia mi hospedaje en monterrey gracias a La casa en el barrio. Todo muy limpio, siempre hay alguien que te atiende y hasta pena me daba llegar diario tan tarde pero siempre me abrieron de súper buena manera. El desayuno te hace sentir en tu casa, muy rico. Súper bien ubicado.

Me picaron chinches 🥴

La habitación privada es pésima sábanas sucias olor a humedad y caño del baño, mienten que hay 2 camas, es solo una y un sofá viejo y sucio, no descontaron el anticipo que deje en la aplicación para reservar.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location was 10/10 would stay again.

Overall nice place. I liked that it was walking distance to the macroplaza/paseo Santa Lucía. It’s in a quiet spot, but only a few streets away from the nightlife if that’s what you’re looking for. The shower had hot and cold water, which is nice. There’s no communal kitchen as the downstairs is a restaurant.

Nos atendieron muy bien, tuvimos un pequeño retraso a nuestra llegada, y aún así nos recibieron sin problema para el check in. Muchas gracias a Ale, por todas sus atenciones en nuestra estancia por el hostal, 100% recomendado.

It's a fine hostel but the only downsides would be the front door is locked manually by a key so if you're going out late you need to wait by it to enter the hostel, that the bunk beds in the dorms are pretty bad with no privacy curtains and that the wifi doesn't work on the bottom floors. Enjoyable stay.

Excelente lugar, la ubicación y el personal muy amables.

Everyone was nice and attentive. However, felt more like a homey hotel with a large patio. It wasnt like other hostels with activities and such. I still enjoyed the peace.

La Casa del Barrio forma parte del Barrio Antiguo, ¡todo lo divertido se encuentra a sólo unos pasos de ahí! El lugar es pintoresco, la comida es deliciosa y la atención brindada me hicieron sentir como en casa.

A beautiful place to stay in an absolutely perfect location!

Stayed in a private room here and it was very well-kept and clean. Slight issue checking-in with the hostel not having my reservation, though I think it was more of Hostelworld not notifying the hostel. However, the lady/employee checking me in was very friendly and kind. Had a short stay and was really only at the hostel to sleep, though I enjoyed my stay.
