Super cute! Nice kitchen and beds are comfortable. If there were places to lock luggage we did not find them.

Great place to stay. Large but with a cozy feel. Sauna was fantastic to have. Showers were hot and had great pressure. Clean and cozy. Kitchen area was large and well organized.

Tolles, kleines Hostel. Sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber, großzügige Gemeinschaftsküche. Fußläufig zur Fähre. Sehr zu empfehlen! Genau das Richtige für einen oder auch mehrere Tage.

Benedicta and her crew do an outstanding job in this unique welcoming hostel! A very well kept place - it’s worth to leave the track to come over the mountainous hill to Seydisfjördur. The Old Hospital keeps downstairs a cute sauna - this floor painted in north African style yellow gives you just the vibe. My son and I stayed here for six nights. What we noticed during our stay here was that the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The environment made it feel like it was a familial community. The hostel itself is also in a prime location close to multiple eateries, a grocery store, and a hiking trail down the road. Overall we had an amazing stay!

Great central location with very clean spacious facilities. Staff very friendly, nice and helpful. Big kitchen with great equipment. Well organised set up. Sauna a nice bonus.

A great place to stay and relax. The old hospital turned hostel was very friendly and welcoming, with payment for the facilities on a trust basis. The sauna was a welcome treat, and the showers were excellent. Inside , the hostel retains many of the original features and the decor is very traditional..I would fully recommend the hostel, but Seyisfjordur itself probably warrants an overnight stay, rather than the 2 nights we booked.

What a fun and pleasant stay in Seydisfjordur! Check in was a little strange since no staff person was around, but fine. The facilities were clean and the shared kitchen space was organized and well stocked with utensils and tools, a convection oven and espresso maker. The only bad thing (which was not the fault of the hostel) was there was this loud guest who insisted on having a loud facetime call in the common area right outside our room. The laundry/dryer and the sauna were a nice touch.

Une des meilleures adresses parmi les dizaines d’auberges que j’ai fréquenté. Le cadre et les communs sont incroyables, vous avez tout à disposition… Même un sauna ;)

Loved this hostel. The view from the dorm was amazing. Kitchen was really well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. Staff were really good and gave me some great advice on local walks. Highly recommend.

Was excellent & wish we could've spent more time. The fire alarm did go off at 7am in the morning and stayed on for about 10 minutes and that was before staff was on duty so took awhile to turn off. No fire or evacuation needed and we were getting up about then also but pretty annoying.
