For the price it is difficult to complain. I will say this place is more for locals than foreign travelers. In my four nights I pretty much had different roommates each night. It seemed to be a place that 40+ year old locals crash at as they all seem to check in after 10pm. Overall the facilities are not bad. But they didnt change the trash or clean the rooms at all during my stay. If you just need a bed this place is good. If you are looking to make friends, maybe not the best place for you.
The hostel was well located and fairly clean, but there are always a large group of young South Asian men spitting and smoking in the communal spaces at all hours of the day, usually making noise until about 3am.
It was so much better than my expectations. The room was so big ,clean and tidy. I spend 8 days there and it was so good , it was only 20 minutes away from airport and supermarket was 2-3 minutes of walking distance and even pick up points for all the activities was very close to the hostel. Beds were comfy and we had our personal toilets and it has bath tub and a shower. Kitchen was good as well and all the staffs were polite , I'll chose this again if i visit almaty again. Great place to stay.
Un bon endroit pour passer un courte séjour
I loved this hostel, would definitely stay here again. It’s not really a social hostel which is PERFECT for me. It’s quiet, calm, gives more hotel vibes. 10/10
good for backpacker tourist to stay there. friendly staff.
Highly recommend. Most of the people staying here are locals so not much of a hostel vibe but the place is great. Good location, kitchen facilities and rooms. The owner was a really nice man who helped us buy bus tickets to Bishkek, you can also use the laundry facilities for free which was very nice as well.
The staffs are very friendly and very patience, i changed my booking 3 times and 3 times the staff tried their best to allocate room. The location is good, near to symbullak by yandex but one thing i like the most is the atmosphere, feels more like a homestay and not hostel, very peaceful.
L’auberge est correcte mais, en hors saison, elle est surtout pris par les locaux qui rentrent très tard dans la nuit et peuvent faire du bruit. Aussi, il n’y a qu’une salle de bain pour les 12 personnes qui est vite très sale.
The Location of the property is really central, and close to all the major Landmarks in the city. Even though they do not have late check-in, they were very cooperative for my check in at 3 in the morning and make sure I had a bed ready at odd hour, and I even paid the my expenses the next day, they didn’t even asked for it. It has all the basic amenities you expect from a Hostel at this Affordable price. Thank you for hosting me and for this lovely experience.
It is located a little outside but you can reach everything very easily by bus. There is no community of young travelers, so don't expect that. It was clean and safe though. At first night it can be a bit tricky to find the entrance, just follow your maps app and the sign at the street.
Super séjour à Almaty dans cette auberge : chambre propre, cuisine à dispo avec tables pour manger et travailler, je recommande !
Cheap spot, no atmosphere mostly local students. Not recommended for westerners but was an alright spot to stay. Offers no guidance for travel
Nice hostel and staff. We booked a three bed room. If you lower your expectations you would be quite satisfied. Definetely price and performance friendly!
Apparently it is ok for guests to make a phone call at night after 10pm. I had to leave in the middle of the night because a woman in my dorm wouldn’t stop making a phone call. She got very angry when I told her I was trying to sleep. A staff then told me that it is ok to make a phone call in the dorm and all hostels in Kazakhstan is the same (not true though) I had no choice but to leave since there was no other room available. The hostel gave me money back for the night.
good hostel ... Good staff people
