Interhouse Almaty

I was not very happy with my stay. The shower had broken and I was made to feel welcome. You also have to ring to get back into the property.

Overall a good well furnished hostel staff was helpful...

The staff went above and beyond. The breakfast was yummy, and every day they made sure to prepare something different. And if you have a tent, you can also camp in their big yard (of course for a fee) #SpeedyAroundTheglobe

The breakfast is big and good, which is the best part. It isn't atmospheric at all, with no backpacker vibes or amenities (e.g., place to leave stuff to for travelers when you leave, book shelf, games, nice places to sit outside, etc.). The staff was courteous. I know the other popular hostel in town well, and I wouldn't stay there again due to bad staff. I will stay here again. The location isn't quite as good as the other popular hostel in my opinion, but it depends where you're going.

Place itself was nice, could have been a bit cleaner. The area was very nice and quiet. breakfast was great! we missed staff that could give you advice on Almaty and Kasachstan.

There was just one bathroom for the men and one for the women, meaning I felt rushed to get things done before my someone started to knock on the door. The atmosphere was pretty bad when I was there, but that is not the fault of the hostel. The staff were friendly but they did not really speak English. Good breakfast.

Hostel is very good, clean and has neat bathroom with hot water facilities. Location is 5-6kms far from the city but it is worth staying far. Your stay would be peaceful. Common rooms are good, Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is good and can use the kitchen utensils to make our own food too. Staff is very friendly. I was feeling sad to leave Almaty and took at least 30 mins to finish bidding good byes, hugs and promises.

Nice hostel for the price. A little far from everything in the city center but cabs are super cheap in Almaty so shouldn't be a problem.

The worst stay because the owner of this house is very rude and they always say keep quiet. I was feeling like I was in a school hostel and she was my warden or teacher. If you are saying this is a travel hostel then treat it like a travel hostel otherwise convert it into a hotel

I never seen this types of dirty place in my life so smelly and so much dirty I can’t add some photos I m make videos for that place as well and this just a apartment and they just add beds inside if you r traveling not recommended anymore if you r travelers looking a good price hostels that’s also not recommend cheq batter place or if you stay first time in hostel don’t make your bad memories lol

I’ve never had a hostel with heated bathroom floors before! This was an awesome stay from start to finish. The dorms and bathrooms are both clean and modern, the breakfast was amazing! (Bread, egg, porridge, and pancakes!) Staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t speak to the atmosphere as i was out most of the days, only returning at night. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Vibes were very much like a home. The people are nice even if it’s hard to communicate with them in English. There are large common spaces and it was pretty social despite being very simple spaces. The beds were comfortable. They make really good breakfast that they change up once in a while. The bathrooms can sometimes be busy and the hot water control may get too hot. Overall this hostel was nice. It is essentially a large house with rooms. The lockers don’t really work and the bathroom situation is a little frustrating but it’s an experience I guess. Breakfast was really nice though. I’d stay again - but the overall hostel wasn’t anything amazing

Card payment is okay. Amazing property with a big common area, a big garden and nice bathrooms that are always kept clean. Only con: the russian girls in the female dorm will keep you up until 3am in the morning because they dont use earphones, and they dont know how to snooze their alarms. If you want to store luggage, tough luck because you cant. Also stopped replying to me after i asked if i can stay again with my usual price. receipt provided too lol.
