Mar de Fondo Hostel

Peronal sehr nett, Anlage auch ganz nett. Leider waren unsere Matratzen komplett durchgelegen. Außerdem wurden wirnachts komplett von Mücken zeestochen, da nur die Fenster zum Innenhof Fliegengitter hatten, jedoch nicht die zum Garten,- was komplett sinnbefreit ist.

Está bueno, aunque quedan lejos los baños de las piezas del segundo piso. Además, el mismo día que guardé unos tomates en el refri me los sacaron.

Hostel très bien placé. L’équipe est agréable et attentive. N’hésitez pas à tester leur plat du soir copieux et délicieux

Highly recommended! A laid-back hostel near the beach with hammocks, a terrace, and sea views. The atmosphere is quiet (in a good way), very relaxed and dinner is served every evening. I can't think of any negative points. Many thanks to the helpful and friendly staff!

Eines der saubersten Hostels die wir in Uruguay besucht haben. Wir haben auch sehr gute Hilfe beim Planen unseres Grenzübertritts nach Brasilien bekommen.

What can i say; first of all thank you mar de fondo for 8 amazing days!!! Best experience so far, from the first second i arrived i felt at home everyone so warm and welcome, playing games together or going to the beach and daytrips. The staff doesnt feel like staff more like good friends, every night the ll cook and just creat a great atmosphere! Everything super clean as well:) just go there and you will know what i mean! Thanks again!

Great hostel! Lovely staff, shared dinners and breakfast were great, felt very welcomed very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Nice showers (went cold once), pretty good all round just a few mosquitos.

volunters on the local are bad people veri rude people( PT Brazil.) Os voluntarios que trabalhão na recepcao do hostel sao pessoas muito rudes com os ospedes quando voce esta falando te mandao calar a boca te interrompem .nao voltaria mais neste local para ser tratado mal e ainda por cima pagar em U$ dolar não da espero que minha revisao ajude outros viajantes .

La famille qui tient l'hostel est vraiment adorable, la nourriture qu'ils préparent chaque soir est délicieuse et vaut vraiment le coup. Personnel vraiment au top. L'emplacement et le batiment sont vraiment géniaux avec une vue sur la mer imprenable !

Muy bonito el lugar, el staff muy buena onda y patricia la dueña es muy dulce y te ayuda en todo. Es un ambiente tranqui, de descanso y buena onda, mas que de fiesta. Exacto lo que buscaba. Los baños impecables y espacios comunes también. Lo único que el colchón que me toco no fue el mejor, pero después de las caminatas dormí profundo.

Wonderful hostel very close to the beach! Staff were great, the shared dinner was worth it, and the atmosphere was friendly and laid back. It wasn't super busy when I was there, but it was easy to meet other guests. Would definitely stay here again in Punta del Diablo!

This is a place you can call your home in Punta del Diablo. With great dinner every evening, a great location and the lovely staff working there that makes the big difference. This is hands down our favorite hostel we’ve stayed to date. We were there for four nights and, by the end, it was sad to leave. From the location, to the cleanliness, to the family dinners, to the atmosphere created by the staff, we loved it all! 10/10 would recommend and come back every time. Patty really made something special here.

Buen hostel, personal amigable y siempre disponible para ayudar, aun después de hacer el check-out me permitieron hacer uso de las instalaciones por el resto del dia, el desayuno esta bien pero podría mejorar

Pati é muito gentil e equipe são muito gentis, agradáveis. Sempre dispostos e sorridentes. O café da manhã é muito bom. O hostel está muito próximo da praia. A área comum é espaçosa, ótima cozinha, há churrasqueira e os banheiros são bons e, principalmente, limpos. Foi incrível meus dias no hostel, minhas companheiras de quarto (da Argentina e de Montevidéu, muito educadas e agradáveis). Patrícia é incrível! 🫶🏼🇺🇾

Come and take it easy, breathe; here you can! I had the fortune of staying while a lovely clique of travelers and volunteers was dabbling into this other uncanny facade Uruguay has to offer, and that level of connection is only promoted by high quality circumstances, like that which Mar de Fondo lays out. Don't think it twice and look by yourselves what I'm talking about. For everything, always, thank you.
