very cozy place, friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend for your stay in kanazawa
Good hostel with a decent communal area. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet in the evening but the hostel is quite a distance from the train station and the centre of Kanazawa.
The room was lovely and clean for a solo female. The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff were so kind and generous in ensuring I knew how to operate the A/C. They explained the local attractions. Thank you for your hospitality. It warmed my heart. Japans kindness and peacefulness is inspiring.
For the price, the private room was a great deal. It was adequetly clean. Bed was comfy. It did smell weird, the only way I can describe it is a construction site after it rains, like wet cedar wood chips. It was kinda out of the way but the walk to the closest shopping and transit is really pretty. The washer and dryer work great but there isnt a spot to airdry clothes from what I could see. Quiet, friendly, decent. I'd stay again.
Very warm and cozy hostel in a residential area of Kanazawa but near conveniences. Would definitely recommend staying here! The staff and other guests were very nice and welcoming! Good sized kitchen as well as good sized communal area.
Es muy lindo y acogedor. Apenas lejos de la estación de Kanazawa.
Great family spot, super comfortable beds
very nice stay!
PERFECT. 10 on 10
The girl at the reception was amazing, super polite. She even helped me recommending me places to visit, booking my buses for Shirakawago and Takayama and turning the washing machine on. The hotel was really nice and close to the center. Confortable and clean. Would definitely return.
A very nice hostel like all K’s hostels..
Cosy bunk beds, everything is kept quite tidy. Great common area to talk with other travellers. Plenty of showers/toilets and sinks.
The staff were lovely and the water pressure was amazing. The location was so-so but that was on me for not checking more thoroughly. There were two sticking points for me. 1) it looked quite tired and outdated. 2) the duvet and pillow smelled of stale smoke and had been sprayed with a synthetic citrus spray that was horrible. It didn't feel like they thoroughly cleaned the bedding. I also didn't like that I had to make the bed myself and how limited the check in time was.
Dead hostel. But it was fine. I hated the fact that they don't clean the duvet. But a decent hostel.
Basic hostel, felt a bit musty but it was a good location and you get what you pay for. I don’t like that they tell you to put a sheet between you and the duvet, implies they’re not washing the duvet cover but I might be wrong…
A little out of the way but well worth it. One of the comfiest beds in all my travels.
A really nice place with a good chilled out atmosphere. They have good information booklets which although are a little old are still relevant. The staff are really kind and helpful and speak really good English too. The hostel is very clean and also has a nice shared kitchen with all the utensils needed plus free tea. We also found it easy to walk to most destinations, the furthest being a half an hour walk although the bus is very accessible with a stop close to the hostel.
I took the single bed (8 people dorm) and it was really comfortable and spacious.. The toilet also wa really clean and the staff also were really kind.. definitely recommended for solo traveller👍
Would of liked someone at the desk all day
