Tehusid Hostel

Même si Egilsstaðir n’est sans doutes pas la priorité quand on vient en Islande, il y a quelques endroits très cool pour se balader autour, qui m’ont été recommandés par le personnel de l’hostel. Des gens super, un endroit fonctionnel, chaleureux et propre avec même un peu d’ambiance ! Ça vaut le détour :)

Everything was perfekt. Staff even brought spices while cooking, as I didn't want to buy any just for two times I would've cooked something.

Stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. I saw the northern lights just on the hill behind the house and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the restaurant/bar in the evening. I slept in the dorm, which was nice and clean. Note that there are no lockers, but it's a very safe space, so I wasn't worried about my stuff.

Although the bunk room door has a lock, no one uses it as it uses a key tied to string in the lockbox next to it. There are no lockers or anything in the room to store your valuables in either. The kitchen is old and poorly stocked compared to other hostels in Iceland. Great big, free carpark outside.

Great venue and easy to find. Cosy setting. Only comment: There needs to be more mugs or cups in the kitchen for coffee or tea.

El servicio y la experiencia en general han estado bien hasta que ha aparecido el dueño. Además de hablarnos fatal e insinuar que estábamos mintiendo sobre las instrucciones que nos había dado su empleada, le ha faltado el respeto a ella también y han intentado que pagáramos por una comida que en principio estaba incluida en el buffet libre de desayuno. Cuando hemos intentado explicarle y reclamarle desde la calma se ha ido mientras le hablabamos y nos ha dicho directamente que no le impor...

A good place for a night

Very friendly staff in a cosy bar. Clean kitchen and showers. Unconfortable beds (makes a lot of noise)

No hay personal por la noche, hubo un grupo y como no hay personal nadie impidio que estuvieran hasta las 3AM. Varios huespedes tuvieron que quejarse y no era posible dormir. Fatal que no hay nadie por la noche

Has a great vibe. The Bar/ coffee shop is really cute with different artifacts . Regret not spending more time in this hostel . I would give it 10 out of 5 stars.

The staff and the owner were so friendly and went the extra mile (or two) to help me and my friends out. Couldn’t recommend this hostel more highly. Great atmosphere, arty old fashioned and easy going. We had a great standup music night on Saturday evening. Top class singing. Can’t thank them enough for all they did.
