Ansari House

The Ansari House was a nice experience. The first three nights I slept in the dorm which had quite a bit of mosquitos during the time of year I was visiting (mid march), however, I was provided with mosquito incense which helped. I then spent two nights in a single room and the experience was much more pleasant with barely any mosquitos. Overall the house is quite decent and the family that runs the hostel is very kind. I received a warm welcome from everyone during my stay at Ansari House. I appreciated their care and friendship, the organic home-cooked food & the capacity to support children's welfare through staying here. During my stay, hot water for showers wasn't readily available, and bathrooms weren't the cleanest, but overall grateful for my time here.

Ich hatte eine echt schöne Zeit im Ansari Hostel. Die ganze Familie hat mich herzlich aufgenommen. Die räumliche Ausstattung ist simple, dafür sind die Essensportionen und die Herzlichkeit umso größer. Ansari Hostel bietet auch Touren durch Bodhgaya und Umgebung an - was ich sehr empfehlen kann. Zum Abschied wurde ich zum Zug gebracht und es wurde sicher gegangen, dass ich am richtigen Gleis stehe :)

This hostel was a really nice experience all in all. We spend some time with the children living there which was fun! It‘s not super clean, but okay. The private room is basic but with balcony. There was no AC, it was hot in the night with moscitos. Most of the places to visit are on the other side of the river where you need to take a tuktuk. But still we had a sweet time at Ansari :)

Ansari House is an absolute gem! Islam and his family are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll meet. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel at home with their warmth and hospitality. The home-cooked meals are delicious, the rooms are clean and comfy, and they’re always happy to help with anything you need. There are also loads of adorable kids around the house, adding to the homey vibe. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Ansari House is a very special place. Islam and his family will make you one of their own and cater to your every need. It is very budget friendly and the food is very good as it is cheap! The rooftop provides a great atmosphere to get to know the children and see how the place functions. Thank you so much for my unforgettable stay.

Islam and his family are the most wonderful hosts! I really felt like I was welcomed to stay in a family home and I ended up staying for 5 nights instead of 2. My double room was so lovely and peaceful. The location just outside of Bodhgaya is beautiful and Islam has a scooter that I rented to explore the surrounding countryside. The food that I ate here was delicious using some of the familys organic produce they grow on their farm land. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
