Lagarza Hostel

Overall we were pretty underwhelmed by this hostel considering photos and great reviews. It’s a great place to relax and we appreciated the double beds and beach access. However the hostel only has 5 sun beds (2 of which are broken). The toilets and showers were quite dirty too.

We loved our stay here! The staff are all incredibly friendly and around to assist all the time if we had any questions. The pool area is amazing and the restaurant serves delicious meals (including a great free breakfast!). Everything is clean and the beds in the dorms are super comfy. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hostel. Would recommend for a chill spot outside of a busy el tunco

so fun staying here and relaxing after a busy few weeks. the private beach and pool are stunning and the beds are spacious and comfy. so fun to get a taste of a hotel vibe after being in hostels for a while! 4/5 for facilities bc the food wasn’t amazing and pretty expensive compared to what else we had in el salvador but still good food and great service thank you so much! there isn’t loads to do you kind of have to stay at the hostel but was ideal for us as we wanted to chill

Beautiful stay, worked on my tan lines. Perfect easy access to the beach - great surfing lessons organised by the hostel, and you can get a bus direct from the main road to San Salvador. Super chill, and breakfast included! Felt like a mini break away from it all in amongst the trip

Really nice hostel with great facilities and queen sized beds. Not much around the area and bot the most social hostel so it could be nice of they perhaps ran more events. Definitely more of a place to come and relax. I did think the food was quite expensive though for lunch and dinner especially as there isn't many other food options nearby.

Overall, I had a nice experience at La Garza Hostel. The hostel is a bit isolated, and there isn’t much to do besides switching into “chill mode” — reading, relaxing by the pool, or walking along the beach. The beach itself is nice but not ideal for swimming because of the strong waves and rip currents. The staff were very friendly, and their dog and I became very good friends — I already miss him. Incontournable ! Le spot est tout simplement incroyable ! La vue est magnifique, le personnel très gentil. Petit dej inclus très bon. La nourriture sur place est un peu chère mais cet auberge est idéale pour y faire une pause

Loved it! Everything was perfect, staff, rooms (double beds were a dream), clean showers etc. Only flag would be that it is very isolated, so best for a stay where you don’t plan to leave the property.

Beautiful place to stay for a few days. The double beds in the dorm rooms are amazing. The pool is quite roomy and overlooking the beach. The food at the restaurant is great if a little pricey. The only downside is the location in the sense that you do have to walk about 10 minutes with your bags from the road to get to the hostal (a bit hilly).

Lovely for relaxing. The food was quite expensive, but only decent - the pad Thai was quite bad - and no kitchen

Gorgeous hostel! Loved the double bunk beds, infinity pool, free breakfast and a 30 second walk to the beach. Food is slightly pricey but apart from that i highly recommend

Great hostel, feels more like a hotel. The rooms are spacious, double beds with private and the bathrooms are in a seperate room! The breakfast is also amazing and look area, I’d recommend this hostel

A great place to relax by the pool or on the beach. Amazing views and super comfortable dorm room with double bunk beds. I was disappointed by the shower pressure and temperature. The chicken tacos are great but otherwise, the food is a little overpriced in comparison to what I experienced elsewhere in El Salvador for the same standard.

Truly an incredible place to stay! Huge beds, and the view from the pool area is just stunning. This place is paradise. My only issue I ran into was the shower situation. It’s a bit awkward, there are 2 shower stalls but not really anywhere to put your things while you’re showering so you have to leave them outside the shower stall. Very secluded but that’s what we wanted. Not much food options around but the food at the hostel is really nice, on the pricier side for a backpacker budget though. A slice of paradise, highly recommend.

Best hostel in El Salvador. Amazing garden, pool, view. Great to relax, semi private beach, daily activity. Huge beds, great place to pamper yourself, I can only recommend this hostel.

Great hostel, don't expext parties just chill vibes. Bunkbeds are huge with a view and plenty space to leave your stuff. The best beach and the custest dog Pitufo! Food was great!

amazing hostel! dorms are very clean and have privacy curtains all around with great air conditioning. Large lockers are really handy. Staff are very friendly, and the food is delicious. The beach is amazing as well. All good things to say about this place.
