The Funky Monkey Hostel - 18 to 40 years old only

Loved this hostel during the full moon!! Easy access to everything and the waffles are delicious in the morning😋

This is without a doubt the best hostel experience ever. The staff are incredible - Julius, P1 and Gigi thank you so much! Everything you could need is provided including bath and beach towels, bottled water and refills, snorkels, even period products. Plus the included breakfast is really great, and a couple dinners were included too as part of the full moon events. It was so easy to meet people and have an awesome time (and a quiet place to sleep at the end of the night!) I'll be back for sure

No complaints at all! Clean, super friendly staff, so many amenities and freebies - you gotta stay here.

Bequeme Betten im Dorm und das frühstück mit den Waffeln und Obst war auch super Obwohl ich außerhalb der Full Moon Party dort war war das Hostel Social Würde wieder hingehen :)

literally fell in love with this place. The location is amazing. Cleaning is done three times a day, maybe even more. You can drink as much coffee as you want at any time of the day. Events are organized frequently. The staff are very friendly. Julius is a perfect host. I have no negative comments to make about this place. Everything is perfect.

Wow im impressed. Went for the full moon party and this place is a must stay. Shoutout to Julius, Brandon, and all the staff who made me feel welcome. The location is convenient just a short walk to Haad Rin Beach but far enough away that you can still sleep when you need to plus the pier is so close. The hostel has a really social vibe, so it’s easy to meet people before going out, and the staff did a great job organizing pre-party events and getting everyone together.

Hostel très bien situé. Les installations sont très propres. Le personnel vraiment gentil et serviable. Il n’y avait pas beaucoup d’ambiance lorsque nous y étions.

Brilliant hostel run by a great team. You really get the vibe they want you to have a good time, rather than just squeeze every baht out of you. Loads of great freebies such as lighters, coffee, water, fruit and beach toys and towels to borrow. A great spot to stay, whether or not you’re there for full moon.

I stayed in the dorms and did not like it at all. Super cramped, not the cleanest. 2 small en suite "bathrooms" for maybe 12+ people. They advertised a double bed for two people but it was such a small space for two. It felt like they wanted to cram so many people in the room that I felt so turned off by it. Maybe the private rooms were better but I never got a look. Staff and owner was nice. Hostel itself is small-ish. Location was good. I left a day earlier. Not a good value for money.

The hotel is fantastic, the location is great, everything is very functional and clean. There's always coffee, tea, and snacks available in the afternoon. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

Me gusta mucho este Hostal, eh estado viajando durante 4 meses por Europa, América y Asia y definitivamente es el mejor, el ambiente es muy bueno, tiene muy buena vibra, las camas muy comodas, tiene un gimnasio muy bueno y se fijan mucho en los detalles, se ve que el Host ah viajado y sabe lo que le hace falta a los otros Hostales y lo corrigió en el suyo, definitivamente volvere a este hostal, aparte si no hay nada por hacer en el dia, tiene actividades

Séjour exceptionnel au Funky Monkey Hostel, avec un rapport qualité-prix remarquable. Accueil chaleureux (serviettes, eau, bananes illimitées), petits-déjeuners de qualité et BBQ gratuit favorisant les rencontres. Nombreuses activités bien organisées, ambiance sociale et respectueuse. Services gratuits (salle de sport, serviettes de plage, snorkeling). Personnel attentionné et généreux. Fortement recommandé.

Établissement à 3min à pied de la plage. Très animé il y a toujours des activités proposées le soir et le petit dej est compris. Le gérant est incroyable, toujours à l’écoute et dispo pour vous aider !! Je recommande à 100%

This is a beautiful property, in a perfect location for both sunrise and sunset, the staff were brilliant and so accommodating, always willing to help and make sure everything was okay, I couldn’t recommend this place any more, the breakfast delicious, snack station incredible, chill space was so nice and I met lots of really lovely people, events every day it was lovely

Wenn ich mehr als 10/10 geben könnte, würde ich das sofort machen! Das beste Hostel, in dem ich je war. Die Atmosphäre ist super sozial, man findet sofort Anschluss und fühlt sich von der ersten Minute an willkommen. Julius und sein Team sind wirklich die allerbesten Gastgeber – herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer gut gelaunt. Die Lage ist perfekt, und für Unterhaltung ist jederzeit bestens gesorgt. Ich bin absolut begeistert und der Aufenthalt wird für immer in Erinnerung bleiben ❤...

In the rooms they have just put as many beds in there as possible. Me and my girlfriend shared a “double bed” which was tiny, no where near enough room for two people for more than just the moon party night. We booked 3 nights and it came to about £137 for two people to share a tiny double bed. which is the most expensive place we have stayed in the whole of Thailand by double. The mattress is also awful. One night of the full moon party is fine .The staff are nice but for the price it’s...

Julius the owner has not just made a hostel, he has created a home for guests to visit for the full moon party. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality we received by him and the rest of his team is unmatched. They are extremely friendly, and provide advice on everything ranging from restaurant recommendations to things to avoid. He has thought of all the little things to make our stay just that little bit more enjoyable, ie sanitary products, free water, a fresh towel, all day breakfast ect
