There was mouse droppings on one of the tables. The cleanliness in general was concerning.

The staff was nice, cute dogs but the kitchen is very dirty and the bathroom as well. Very few people when we came so not really a social hostel but it is well located and does the job for 1 or 2 nights

First thing to note is the maps might take you to a different place than the hostel 2 blocks away. The staff here was very friendly and helpful, it just seemed for my visit quite run down and not what it used to be, cleanliness was an issue and there were roaches in the shower. It was fine for one night passing thru but I wouldn’t make it a destination vacation.

it’s good albeit quiet. orosi in general has not much to do, i recommend 1 or 2 nights. i do not recommend nano’s waterfall, if you do go WEAR BUG SPRAY and be prepared for a lottt of talking. i do recommend the swimming hole, a great spot to meet and connect with some locals while having a refreshing swim. the free coffee was nice as was the well-stocked kitchen.

on arrival the property did not take people due to renovations. they gave us a room in another guesthouse they owned with common rooms downstairs and bedroom upstairs. during our time the downstairs was broken into and food taken from kitchen and fridge. i assume that is due to social strain in costa rica at the moment. i did not feel unsafe in the prvate rooms upstairs!

Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden zwei mal sämtliche Lebensmittel aus der Küche und Kühlschrank gestohlen. Keine Reaktion der Vermieter. Bei Ankunft war ein riesen Chaos. Mussten dann unser Doppelzimmer mit einer weiteren Person teilen (Matratze auf dem Boden)

Lovely space! great tips on the local community and things to do. I recommend the waterfall hike to see Nano.

Très chouette Hostel calme pour passer quelques nuits. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et l’équipement est complet.

Une étape vraiment superbe avec des hôtes très gentils et attentionnés !

Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mit vielen Pflanzen und Tieren, gut ausgestattete Küche und saubere Zimmer und Duschen

Das Hostel ist super. die Toiletten haben leider wegen des Abflusses unangenehm gerochen. aber insgesamt hat uns die unterkunft sehr gut gefallen.

Awesome hostel with great facilities. Only reason I marked down atmosphere was because there was hardly anyone staying there. Dorm room was clean and comfortable. No lockers though. Didn’t matter for me as I was the only one staying in the room but could be an issue if sharing with randoms. Shared bathrooms are beautifully appointed but hot water was an issue. Great location close to centre of town. Hostel owners live out back and very helpful.

Wir waren alleine im Hostel, da Nebensaison war. An sich sehr gemütlich, allerdings ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Küche ist völlig den Reisenden überlassen- auch das putzen und Kühlschrank leeren. So war bei uns die Küche und Kühlschrank leider voll mit teilweise verschimmelten Essen und dreckigen Geschirr. Vielleicht ist das in der Hauptsaison anders

Too good to be true

Hostel was in a nice setting. Nice personell, good info of surroundings! The room smelled a bit like cat piss, i think the cats that live there sleep in the rooms sometimes, and the shared kitchen was quite dirty, cutting boards were old and dirty and overal the utilities were not very clean. Rooms are a bit noisy, we could hear the neighbours breath through the walls.

Super nice and quiet Hostel. Perfect for hikingtours or to enjoy the relaxing surroundings.

Friendly and cheap but the vibe is a little absent. Do not navigate using google maps you will end up at their guest house.
