El Hostel del Patio

I did enjoy my stay in Tortuguero. The room is really nice but I don‘t understand the situation with the kitchen split up in 3 parts (Room, balcony and the actual kitchen). Not really a social Hostel cause there is not that big of a social space. Still nice though

Wunderschön gelegenes Hostel mit toller Atmosphäre. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man auf Tortuguero ist. Wir haben am zweiten Tag eine Kayaktour mit CRT Tour Tortuguero und dem Guide Warren gemacht. Die Tour startet um 06:00 Uhr, nur ca. 3 min vom Hostel entfernt und war unser Highlight.

Unbeatable location! View across the canal from the terrace (with hammocks). There is a nice restaurant right next to the hostel. Also great to have some coffee with a view. Room was basic but clean and had its own bathroom. Not much of a social vibe when I was there but I had a pleasant stay!

Een fijne en knusse plek om te verblijven. De kamers/dorm voor 4 personen hebben hele fijne bedden en een eigen koelkast en badkamer. Het voelt als een soort vakantiehuisje. Het is wel wat gehorig, maar zolang iedereen rekening houdt met elkaar is dit geen enkel probleem. Ik had veel geluk met de anderen die hier verbleven, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat het bij gebrek aan een grote sociale ruimte lastig kan zijn om anderen te ontmoeten. Ik zou zo weer terug gaan, het is een aanrader!

Très bonne auberge, bien située, le restaurant est très bien. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la clim est appréciable. L’endroit est propre et le personnel est serviable

Super schönes Hostel! Schneller Checkin und freundliches Personal. Zimmer sehr groß und gemütlich. Das Zimmer hatte einen eigenen Kühlschrank, Spüle und Geschirr - super! Alles sehr sauber. Klimaanlage lief auch gut. Die gesamte Anlage mit dem Restaurant schön gestaltet, dort kann man auch gut essen.

We loved our stay— the location was perfect and the restaurant had a really beautiful view.

Auberge sympa avec lit confortable et salle de bain propre et agréable. Très bien placée et avec un restaurant avec une vue superbe. Tout était très bien sauf peut être la cuisine qui est en bas alors que certains éléments étaient au haut ou dans les chambres, il y avait juste ça qui n’était pas très pratique.

A very nice hostel, located in the middle of the town. Clean, spacious rooms and a nice restaurant as well. Loved the overall vibe!

Der Empfang von Naomi war sehr herzlich und super nett, der Aufenthalt war absolut super. Sympathisches Personal, gemischtes 4er-Zimmer sehr sauber, geräumig mit eigenem Badezimmer und einem Kühlschrank. Man kann im Außenbereich selbst kochen oder sich im Restaurant bekochen lassen, ansonsten gibts in Tortuguero viele gute Restaurants. Das Hostel ist nur zu empfehlen!

Perfect location and amazing place, in the center of everything. You have a restaurant or a kitchen if you want to cook. The rooms are very big. Very happy :)

It’s nice, but I was woken up by animals and/or bugs living in the walls. Also cockroach in the shower

Nice hostel, in a good location and with a really great restaurant on-site. The rooms are located upstairs above the bar/restaurant, and there’s a separate common area with hammocks. The dorms could be made more comfortable - some curtains and reading lights would make it a lot better. It would also be good if there was a number to call in case of any issues, it seemed to be completely dead after 9pm.

Great hostel to visit the national park. Well equipped kitchen, nice hammocks and a restaurant with a nice view. Just don't expect a social stay, this is not the place for that.

Eines der besten Hostels und wahrscheinlich der schönste Dorm auf unserer 6-monatigen Reise. Das gesamte Gebäude ist sehr schön und sauber. Der 4er-Dorm hatte eine eigene Dusche und einen eigenen Kühlschrank

Super séjour à l'hostel del patio ! Nous sommes restés 2 nuits , le lieu très agréable et propre, les lits grands , de l'eau chaude , du café à disponibilité et même une zone hamac pour se détendre. Le tout à un prix très abordable pour Tortuguero. On recommande !

We have really enjoyed our three nights here. Naomi at reception has been really lovely and the restaurant staff friendly. The “kitchen” leaves something to be desired as far as being able to comfortably cook there but it was adequate for us. We booked our tours through the hostel and it was easy. I do have to say that booking was a bit of a pain, though, which made paying a little more confusing. We had to book through two different booking pages instead of just this one.

This Hostel ist honestly so lovely. I stayed in a mixed dorm for 3 days and the atmosphere is very chill. The rooms were cleaned every day. You can cook your own food or go to the hostel Restaurant. The Kitchen is outside, that some guests thinks you are Part of the staff -that is funny. It didn‘t matters to me in a negative way. You get easily in contact with the family who runs the Hostel and they are really nice. They helped me out when I had a Problem with a Tour Guide. They are lovely!!

Chambres très spacieuses. Hostel très bien placé. N'hesitez pas à tester leur restaurant avec la vue sur l'eau ^^

La chambre est très grande et fonctionnelle avec des grands casiers, un réfrigérateur et une salle de bain privée et également climatisation et ventilateur. Le seul point négatif est l’espace cuisine qui se situe à l’extérieur de l’hostel avec très peu d’équipements.
