too much bed bugs, 1 bathroom for a crowd. bunk bed too narrow to sit, very nasty bath rug, too cold inside of bathroom , not a single day cleaning in the room entire 5 days.
This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. It is more a bridge home for the homeless and is definitely not for travelers. There was no running water for half of my stay.
Nice location near by the stations for train and buses Clean environment.. Good maintenance.. The guy ki is the man.. Hats off he is working like a machine to take care of the Fecelity.. Fantastic feel staying there
Nice affordable place to stay. Location near subway and plenty of shops and stores to get whatever you may need.
By far the best
The rooms are infested with bed bugs. All the lockers for valuable items are very small meaning you can only fit things the size of your phone inside and half those lockers are broken. Located in a shady area. Rude staff, the house isn’t the cleanest— dirty furniture and appliances. Don’t recommend staying here. If you do, just remember you get what you pay for.
The hostel is great, clean, friendly service, good amenities (I could a watch a World Cup match in the Smart Tv, they have have in the common area) but the neighborhood is kind of f**ked (as the whole city of Philadelphia tho) but is really close to the metro, so if you don’t mind seeing a couple homeless is your 3 minute walk home it’s and amazing hostel!!!
So the place is nice and tidy clean safe The bunk beds have nice firm mattress The rooms are clean and acceptable The host is cool friendly knowledgeable Amazing price you just can’t beat
If you are a solo female traveller, please do not stay here!! The hosts were incredibly kind, organized, and nice, but the hostel itself is in a very unsafe area. There is good access to the metro which takes you to downtown Philly, but I did not feel safe in the area where the hostel is located. There is nowhere to safely lock and store your belongings while you go sightseeing, and the bathrooms were not very clean (I've stayed in quite a few hostels so I don't feel like I'm being unrealistic).
Got the email to check in at almost 10 PM after calling them dozens of times and sending several emails. Abysmal experience and I doubt I will get a refund. Appalling.
Very basic and good enough for 1-2 nights.
I want a full refund
The facilities are terrible, just one bathroom for everyone that is terrible for ten o more people. The area was look dangerous but the host is very friendly.
Huge problem checking in. I saw a mouse in the kitchen running under the heater.
Please don’t stay here. Especially as a solo female traveller. Really really unsafe area found myself being constantly harassed, owner is nice but not present. Lots of homeless people living there and one of the showers doesn’t work. Was sat on the doorstep for 2 hours waiting for the owner to turn up so I could check in. There wasn’t any other travellers there to connect with and I would not recommend staying here!
would not reccommend for solo female travelers!!!! not the best neighborhood, large mixed dorms with very little privacy.
Hostel for homeless
I booked for 4 days and left on the second day. Of course I couldn’t get my money back. When I pulled the pillow, a small cockroach crawled out. I would post the video if allowed. It’s in the ghetto. I only left the house once to get water. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you’re a traveler. The host was super nice and attentive though. The only positive thing about the house.
Great place
this is NOT, and I repeat NOT and I repeat NOT a hostel. it is a bed in a part of the city (church street), miles, miles away from the city center it was drop dead awful although the host tried his best to make it work. I'm not sure what Hostelworld is doing - someone anyone, go visit this place its a stones throw from crackville. I really don't like to complain and I was so sure that Hostel world would not even host such a place - I was dead wrong. Shame on you.
