Cant complain about anything except for the laundry. They charged me 2000 for a small bag of laundry after which I complained and still had to pay 1000 - which is still way too much but I had to check out and leave so didn’t make anything more out of it. Advice for Kijani: put fixed laundry prices at the reception Advice for travelers: make sure you know what you pay before committing to a service
I recently stayed at Kijani Cottages in Diani, Kenya, and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Diani Beach, offering an escape surrounded by lush gardens. The hostel is cozy and well-maintained, with comfortable beds, private terrace, and some self-catering. I loved relaxing by the pool, and the eco-friendly touches like solar power added to the charm. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. It’s an ideal spot for a pe...
The place is really close to the sea, there is a lovely pool, there is no hot water in the shower as it should be, the shower is not working properly, and they say that they do not work with this site, they caused problems for me when I ordered through this site, overall it gave value for the price.
I spent two weeks at Kijani’s and had a mix of experiences. This place is a hidden gem in Kenya, perfect for those seeking an exotic getaway. It’s just a short walk to the beach and close to Ukunda airport, set in lush greenery with the soothing sounds of birds and monkeys. The staff is outstanding, always ready to assist and ensure you have a great time.
The best place to stay in Diani. Beautiful, spacious and with good vibes. Great management and helpful staff that's always open for feedback on how to improve things and make everybody feel welcome. I stayed both in cottages and a hostel, in both beds are super comfy. The swimming pool area is the most beautiful I have ever seen. The only thing I would add is a communal kitchen for the hostel area. I came as a guest and left as a part of the family. Thanks guys for having me, I'll be back :)
Was bitten by mosquitoes all night long🤣 The place has no kitchen for cooking on your own. It was overbooked so I had to find somewhere else to stay during my trip.
+ We really enjoyed our stay at the Kijani Cottages and would be happy to repeat it. The area is very green and quiet. The cottages were clean and cosy, made of natural materials and shadowed by trees. A fan was perfectly enough to make nights pleasant. There was no need of AC. The place has also a relaxing common space with a bar, music and a swimming pool. Food is very good and fresh. Staff is helpful and assisted us with arrangement of transport to Kilifi. The way to the ocean is short.
