Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, nice location if you want to explore Buda.

It was all nice. The only negative I would say was the quality of the mattress and the lack of privacy in the room.

Shantee House is a lovely place to stay if you want a chilled out spot after a busy day exploring Budapest! It’s around 30 minutes on the bus from the lively area of town, but the journey feels painless. I met some great people, and hanging out there felt like we were in our own lounge! It’s not a party hostel, so be aware of that when booking. The owners are lovely and welcoming. I came back for a second nights, and will return!

Incredible hostel!! Shantee House is such an oasis of relaxation and peacefulness. It’s a bit outside the main attractions, but there’s a tram stop five min away that will take you to everything in 30 min or less. Can’t praise it enough!! Kind staff, great hostel. Clean, safe. Some people book long-term stays here so it really feels like a community instead of just a place to sleep. Would love to return in the summer when the garden is open and sleeping outside is possible. Thank you Shant...

Felt great in this place, planning on staying 2 nights and ended up staying 6, I think that says a lot !

I had a wonderful stay at Shantee House! The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. The hostel was lovely and very clean. I stayed in a private room, and it was the perfect space for my stay. The hostel is a quick walk to the tram that will take you into the city center. I felt safe there as a solo traveler and I would highly recommend and hope to come back someday!

echt een prachtig hostel met de meest vriendelijke mensen! het ligt een beetje uit het drukke centrum maar is goed bereikbaar. de keuken en woonkamer zijn ontzettend gezellig, ik kom zeker terug!

trust me, go there! i stayed in a lot of hostels in my life and this is one of the best! when you would like to have the experience how a hostel should be, go there 🤗 a big thank you to attila, marie, anna and bori… because of you shantee house felt like home 🥰 its super clean… dorms, kitchen, garden, terrace, showers, toiltes, common area, wifi, location - everything 10 out of 10!

Shantee is peaceful, clean and quiet place. You can really rest and sleep well here. The kitchen is fully equipped and great for preparing your meals.

This is a hostel but felt like home. The place has all the amenities, is very clean & equipped, the hosts are warm & friendly. The property is very aesthetically pleasing & peaceful. One can plan longer stays at this property.

Top !!! Lieu agréable et paissible. Le centre ville est très facile d'accès en qq arrêt de tram. L'auberge est propre, fonctionnelle et reposante.

Really nice place with a relaxing atmosphere. Nice garden and wonderful staff.

We stayed there only a short time, but the vibe was great, the rooms clean and the host is really nice. I would totally come back. Be aware that there is no 24/7 reception and that you need the entry code before coming :)

Shantee hostel is a temple for reflection, a place where silence is the goddess, and where meditation and calm vibes are pivotal factors, they decoration and green around is just in perfect harmony, if you want a please to reconnect, this is your place.

Well, how can I put into words so many feelings! Shantee House became my home for 2 weeks. Giving it a 10 feels too little, it belongs to another category of hostels. I will always be grateful for this stay. It will always stay in my heart. Thank you Atila, thank you Bori, once again. PD: And to those who are about to discover this House for the first time, there’s a special kind of envy, but enjoy! It will definitely be the best choice.
