Budapest Garden Hostel

The staff was friendly and it was nice to get out of the city for a couple of days. The overall vibe was incredibly uncomfortable though and I tried not spending time there. The beds were also sooooo uncomfortable. I could feel every spring, and the sheets were incredibly itchy. And unrelated to the hostel, to the b*tch who yelled at me for talking on the phone in the COMMON AREA and not even in the room at 22:30, go get a hotel next time, hostels aren't for you.

I only went there for one evening and i fell asleep pretty immediately! Wish i could have spent more time because the staff and all the guests i met were super nice, and it was a beautiful place :). Kind of off the beaten path but that is nice sometimes, not to be in the city center. You can walk there from the metro of there are a few buses that go that way to connect you with other places. The bed was not that good and the room was a little dirty, but, it is more of a homely environment.

Very near to the railway station and very quiet. You get high quality for very good price. Dante help us a lot : ) Thank you so much!

Left the hostel early out of discomfort, but the owner was very attentive and willing to help! In short: We needed to go out to the garden and up stairs to get to the bathroom, there is 1 shower for the whole hostel, no luggage lockers & no key to lock your room either, very dusty floors, and the bed mattresses were very thin (compared to all other hostels we visited). The garden is pretty, but this hostel is for those who wanta relaxed stay, not really for tourism to Budapest (takes~ 45min).

La experiencia fue muy mala. La parte baja del alojamiento estaba lleno de polvo, telarañas y arañas vivas y muertas por todas partes, incluso en el baño y la ducha, que era inutilizable. El olor en el baño era insoportable y la suciedad general demostraba una falta total de limpieza. En la planta superior, una amiga encontró un bicho en su cama. No pudimos descansar y nos sentimos incómodas toda la noche. Un lugar que no recomendamos. No volveríamos.

Sehr süßes Hostel in einem alten Wohnhaus. Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Auch die Lage ist grundsätzlich schön, allerdings zur Besichtigung von Budapest schon außerhalb der Stadt, trotzdem gut erreichbar mit Bus.

Si tienes fobia a los insectos no reserves en este hostal, tienen las ventanas y puertas abiertas todo el día y allí hay una fauna entera de arañas y bichos en todos lados, sobre todo en los techos y las esquinas. Es un lugar tranquilo para conocer a gente y convivir, aunque nosotros solo lo usamos para dormir. Está mas o menos cerca de la estación y bien comunicado con el centro. Las camas no eran muy incómodas y la cocina era bastante grande. No hay aire acondicionado ni ventilador.

Not really a hostel. Owner is VERY responsive, welcoming is ok (no permanent reception). Soundproofing is bad in privates. Far away from center!! So good only if you want to be really chill, and there is a garden. No coffee/tea/water. Some restaurants nearby but be careful if you arrive late!

We were very happily surprised. A very cozy house in the outer parts of Budapest but the metro was just a short walk away. The reception was very nice. The people were really chill and casual, we felt very relaxed and the whole vibe was quite down to earth. They have a tree with figs. The private room was simple and nice. It felt clean but not spotless. The garden is very nice and it felt really comforting coming to this amazing place after all the impressions of central Budapest. Amazing!

it's literally one of the best hostels I've ever stayed. staff are great. it's location is little far from centre. but transportation is easy. only problem that I was really bothered, was mosquitos. we couldn't close the windows because of summer conditions. mosquitos bite me at least 10 different place. it was horrible.

I was accommodated by Amanda and Isadora during my stay there and they two were amazing (It’s a little bit pity as they are only volunteer there). The hostel manager tried his best to create an harmony and dynamic atmosphere for everyone. They have BBQ or traditional Hungarian foods every week so worth to consider during your stay in Budapest. Location is in local living area so it is best ideally for those trying to escape Budapest centrum concrete jungle

I traveled here with my best friend, we liked it a lot due to people there. However the cleaning of the hostel was quite bad. You also have to know that you're 20min walking from the metro that takes you to city center. You can have buses like E8 for instance, it's closer. Except from the cleaning we met some really good people!

Very nice staff, the location is within walking distance from the train station which also has metro. Unfortunately, the bathroom and the room weren’t clean, there was dust everywhere and mold in the bathroom. We stayed for two nights and there wasn’t a deep clean of the bathroom with the shower in those two days, which was shared with the entire floor of other guests.

There was practically no social aspect in the hostel, which for me was the main benefit in going to a hostel. It was fine other than that though.
