Solid hostel in Nairobi. Nice, spacious beds and clean. The free breakfast was nonexistent, but the supermarket is only 7min walking distance. Hostel is a bit hard to find because there’s no sign outside. Some mosquito nets on the beds would be helpful!
Friendly staff, lovely green neighborhood, good kitchen and clean facilities!
社区氛围超级好,大家都非常乐意分享有趣的事,这里的人都非常友善,这是我住过最好的青年旅社了。
I liked my stay here. The beds are extremely comfortable & BIG. Probably have had some of my best sleeps in Nairobi here at this hostel. The beds are solid too so no rocking when someone climbs up to the top bunk. No mosquito netting was given but apparently you can ask for them. I did have problems with the hot water & finding a free bathroom at times. The staff was kind about storing luggage and were friendly. Love the garden; the hostel is on a quiet street so it feels like a little paradise.
Great place, great atmosphere, great location. Beautiful decoration. Nice staff. Thanks!
I loved this place. Kind people and staff, you can leave your luggage here when you leave for a safari. The only thing I disliked are the moskitos. You have no moskito protection - the windows are open all day and even when they are closed there are ventilation holes. So while trying to sleep you are constantly surrounded by moskitos that make noise and are dangerous (malaria?)
The Library staff are fabulous…helping to keep the facilities clean & tidy, and always being available to help. The garden is such a nice place to chill. There is a good supermarket close by and a shopping mall within a 35 minute walk. Uber is such good value in Nairobi that everywhere is within easy reach.
Very clean and friendly, a good place to stay!
Fabulous spot! We stayed in private room w double bed, washroom + shower with warm-ish water - be patient :) Great mattress! Big comfy couches in common rm. Lots of power cords for charging. 400ksh for next day laundry. $2-3 Bolt ride to just about anywhere in Nairobi. 2nd gate on right when turn onto street after roundabout. Safe quiet area. Great connections with other guests. Clean, adequately supplied kitchen. Super kind staff! Stayed 4 nights. Very reasonable. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful place to stay! Convenient to walking around for food, easy uber or walking to lical attractions. Friendly, kind, responsive staff. Beds are wider than a single which is nice. Bathrooms nice. Quiet setting despite near busy road and some nearby construction
We had a great time here and met some amazing people 🌞
Booked this based on information listed about the property, which was accurate. Breakfast was two pieces of fruit and bread so we skipped that as it was disappointing. Linen and bathroom appeared unhygienic and no hot water. Staff were nice but overall, wouldn’t stay there again or recommend to others.
Nice location and a beautiful, on the negative side. Terrible internet and old plumbing that needs an upgrade.
10/10 for The Library Hostel. It’s convenient to a Quickmart and fairly close to Yaya Centre. The hostel itself is very clean with multiple common areas, a clean and functional kitchen, laundry facilities, etc. It is very secure. It has a great outdoor space/back veranda. The staff are very helpful and professional—Friday was able to answer all of my many questions. I’m looking forward to returning.
I recommend 100% this peaceful and relaxing place !
Hands down one of the best I’ve ever stayed in!!!
Very comfortable stay, safe and secure facility. Would stay again
This place is amazing. Everyone on the staff is super friendly, and even the security guard Frank is fun to chat with. It has a nice patio and yard too which is great for having smoke outside or soaking in some sun. The beds were also really nice, but I’d say the bottom bunk mattress was more soft. Definitely will be coming back to this place if I ever return to Kenya.
Awful experience. I came in around 9pm after checking that rooms were available on the site (although I didn’t book on the site as it was last minute). The manager Fred first seemed annoyed that I came in and disturbed him from his Netflix series. I then asked if I could check in and he said I should book on the site first. I did that and right after he told me every room was booked because every guest had so called extended. I highly suspect that was just an excuse and I was left alone
